    Thanks for this video. Indeed the two bros really cared for and loved each other. Sydney helped Charlie a lot and Charlie talks about his older brother a lot in his auto biography. And they both loved their mother Hannah so much and looked after her as much as they could as she was such a good and loving mom to them while she could. They never forgot her. I love seeing Sydney and recognizing him in some of Charlie’s movies. Very talented man. You could tell they went to « the same school » so to speak. Love the music with your video, very appropriate.

    Sydney was a great comedian in his own right, and certainly was the backbone to the success of his younger brother. I loved him playing the concession stand owner with Charlie stealing fresh food off a plate, and the two playing off each other in this bit. He was marvelous. The film was "A Dogs Life," and the bit was pure genius with the two!

      Very helpful information and startling to know he had such a loving, generous, creative brother. Wow.

    SYDNEY CHAPLIN is Charlie Chaplin/s brother. Charlie named one of hus sons Sydney, who became an actor and started in FUNNY GIRL on Broadway with Barbra Streisand. So take note, two Sidney's in the Chaplin family. uncle and nephew

    Dificil não fazer a comparação....
    Eles são extremamente pacecidos, embora de mães diferentes. E diz que tem um terceiro. Filho só da mãe de CHARLES.
    Até os gestos são muito parecidos. Bom ator e traz felicidade. Cuidava dos negocios do irmão. Diz que a barraca de biscoito (VIDA DE CACHORRO) é ele....mesmo após vida de vai e volta, ficaram companheiros. Familia.
    Muito boa idéia de homenagem à ele.....

      Wheeler Dyden wasn't a Chaplin, he was Leo Dryden's son, so how can he be a forgotten Chaplin? Also, this video is solely focusing on Sydney, it's not in regards to anyone else, I didn't forget anything.

      +mick62mick I actually got to meet him in the mid 1960's! My older brother flew me out to L.A. He lived in a a town north of L.A. called Newhall. He knew him, & one night he called my brother one night to mention one of his old movies was on TV that night if we wanted to watch it. The at a New Year's Eve Party in Granada, he was there. I happened to be standing near the piano when he sat down to play. My brother teased me that he was singing & playing the piano just for me.

    What's with that background music?? Awful

    • @marianneosielworld
      @marianneosielworld 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the song that Lee greenwood made famous many decades ago, called Wind beneath my wings, implying that his brother and his love and support was behind all that Charlie was which I'm sure is inaccurate. Not to mention... That song has always sucked (Its way to the bank)....
