so does everyone else lol. Rode, Conrad, Aitken were all the top recruits for their position, and Kraus, Laviano, Moore etc were top 10. Hopkins and Cuse don't have monopolies on talent anymore
james kidd yeah I agree. We’re starting to see some of these powerhouses fall and new teams become the new top contenders each year. I don’t know what it is exactly.
@@iohfp It's a consequence of growing the game. When the game grows, traditional powerhouses like hopkins and cuse can't soak up all the talent like they used to, so it diffuses. A decade ago there would be 10-20 superstar athletes each year coming out of high school. Now there are 200, and there's not enough roster space at the historic programs to take them all each year.
Agreed with all and yes, the old feeder programs to the big cats now have far more talent that often develops elsewhere. There used to be "sure things" in lax recruiting. No longer.
Even bigger, the Cuse and Hopkins and Princetons of the 80s and 90s were fed by a plethora of powerhouses where a long line of players went those routes. These days there is way more talent playing all over so kids naturally don't have the same old loyalties.
Swear Hopkins get top recruits every year but wildly underperform. Coaching issue? Why dont they do better!?

@@ohdannyboy6801 fair point but im not necessarily talking about this game I'm talking about more generally

Everyone sleeps on the Cavs !!!
I don't. They are legit and Rode playing better will help. He had a good day today.
LaxFactor No, I believe you. I just love seeing some Dark Horses in these divisions start to become powerhouses. Towson is the same way. Love it!
You are now seeing what happens when you commit a kid in 8th or 9th grade.
Haha true. We saw a shift in recruiting some of the bigger schools were slow to correct. It'll be ok though I think.
