Greetings from Olympia, WA, USA! So happy to see the Stuttgart Ballet as part of WBD. I had the pleasure of seeing Marcia Haydee and Richard Cragun to Romeo and Juliet and Taming of the Shrew in NYC years ago. It was unforgettable. For a first rehearsal I think they did wonderfully well.Beautiful pas de deux. Hope they put it on DVD! Danke!
The balcony scene by R&J is so superb - and these dancers are rehearsing together for the first time. They have everything, technique, emotion, and the director, Tamas Detrich, so kindly gives small corrections. I remember seeing the Stuttgart when they visited NY in the 80's, and their major dancers were Richard Cragun, Marcia Haydee, Egon Madsen and Birgit Keil. R&J, Eugene Onegin, and Taming of Shrew enchanted me then, and R&J does now in rehearsal - though I'm more familiar with the Royal Ballet's MacMillan choreography. Cranko was a great choreographer, too soon lost.
Balcony is glorious ….fresh is exactly the word.
sooo touching !! remembering marcia, ray, richard…….. ❤️ and of course john…
This director is so nice and kind with the dancers greetings from Colombia

There’s so much palpable and genuine joy emanating from everyone in the studio, it’s really lovely to see.
Vogel makes such a wonderfully youthful Romeo, even at age 40:). It’s always hard to take your eyes off him.
what a gift this is ! I've been in heaven watching these wonderful dancers rehearsing this favourtie ever ballet
Memories of Richard Cragun. Cranko's version... the best R&J. Fun to see this rehearsal... thank you for sharing it!
Yes it is! I saw it several times in Vienna, Austria several years ago.
Mercutio’s solo was fantastic. The amount of jumping in that variation is incredible. Bravo!

👏👏👏
Say hello in Portuguese not “Brazilian” lol
Dreadful angle and place to put the camera.
Shocked to see such bad technique from soloists fro Stuttgart ballet. Not a fifth position in sight. Pas de trois
