Finally got a Cont 4 to update my BA comparison, not sure if its a good comparison tho, my current 6th is quad 10, TB 15, spread 10, so it might change stuff but not by much, hopefully,
40 BA comparison:
22* ring 46.2T.
Cont 4 49.6T.
RoR 3 52.2T
RoR 4 58.0T
Gains:
RoR 4 vs 22* ring, 25% ish
RoR 4 vs Cont 4, 18% ish
RoR 4 vs RoR 3, 11% ish
Full Rotation BA comparison:
22* ring 466 b/s
Cont 4 491 b/s
RoR 3 492 b/s
RoR 4 516 b/s
In a full rotation, RoR 4 doesnt seems super awesome but still, most bosses have extra buffes for burst so 40s might still be more important.
Full rotation gains Gains:
RoR 4 vs 22* ring, 10% ish
RoR 4 vs Cont 4, 5% ish
RoR 4 vs RoR 3, 5% ish

so other than culvert / punch king situations ror4 is best but if you already 1/2 round bursting with a ror3 then switching to ror4 isn't going to be that big (obviously party set up will play a bigger role but in solo cases) in example if you do 50-55% of say hdknell/hvilla with burst upgrading to a ror4 isn't going to basically let you 1 round them in a burst if anything it would push it closer to 60-65%?
just asking given I'm on reg server and have the option to buy ror4 whenever but the rng box surprise mechanics hasn't been lucky for me yet haha

Id depend on the party, burst is more important for certain bosses, also if you have bishop or/and kanna ror 3>>>> cont 4
