Absolutely fascinating interview. Thank you so much. I’ve never ridden a bike but the mentality of these ferocious men is the kind of mentality that shaped America and I respect that. I served 18 years between the Marines and the Army. I loved the brotherhood with all my heart. We fought shoulder to shoulder stateside and oversees. There’s nothing like brotherhood. Listening to these podcasts reminds me of those days for me even though they’re night and day to each other. I still feel like podcasts with gentlemen like this one are so important to remind us of who we are at the inner most part of our primal nature. Thank you.

I actually had an opportunity to work with Scott. It’s been awhile since then. But he was cool as fuck. And funny too. He’d always make us laugh at work. Hard fucking worker too. And good at what he did. He never glorified or told us many stories, but he was always up for conversation and crack jokes. I don’t know if you will ever see this message Scott, and I don’t know if you’ll remember me. We worked at SCI together about 12-13 yrs ago. You started out in the shop and eventually went to the field. I saw you only a few times after that and then that was it. I was told you moved and that was that. Anyway, I hope all is well for ya and if ever cross paths in the future, it’s all love and respect and get a handshake from me. God bless and be cool dude🙏🏻✌🏻

Having grown up in El Cajon and Santee CA back in the 70s and 80s, his books and this interview really came to life in my mind. Being able to go back in time via memory while attaching his stories to them was really cool. I bet he still remembers my father. Eerie how I seen him when he was friends with my father back in the 90s. Dude was a savage. My dad rode in a different club but had loyalty to the Mongols. I remember seeing this man standing in our living room. I was so young dad yelled at me to go to bed. I remember seeing him a few times. Kinda spooky when I see him now. Dad told me stories years ago. Some of it is on par with what he's saying. Wish he'd mention San Diego and the fight my dad's club jumped in on. They destroyed tf out of some angels and a janky little club that was trying to patch over I believe. It was a huge fight. I remember dad being in the hospital for like a week from a few stabs.

I disagree. There might be good will on that intention, but each MC has its history, thats what makes em who they are. A fight is a fight but if you just keep beating out of rage thats when its not so good. But all MCs have quite the same code, so constituition wise they are all one, but I guess its like diferent families. You dont want inbreed situations. Its all about respect and earning your patches. I ride but Im not in MC, so this is my thoughts.

@@oliveiraluis3540the guy literally says he murdered the angel, that he didn't regret it and needed to be done in order to be taken seriously.
They had the fight at queen mary because it was 'their' turf, and people were nearly stomped to death on both sides. This is not about respect and earning patches. They are exactly like bloods and crips. equally violent and lethal. Just on bikes.

If the government continues to squeeze it could be a slight possibility. But part of the fun of being a tribe of men is having enemies. We can’t fight the government so we have to find others with similar beliefs to fight. It’s an interesting irony that’s hard to grasp. But it’s just our nature. What good is it to have a tribe with no rivals?? Rivalries help us to build stronger bonds among each other. The best sports games to watch are teams that hate each other. Among men, War is peace

Man, that was another lifetime for me. I was in a very well-known MC. This brings back so many memories. Not all good. I remember getting all my patches. Being told "now you can attend church" fellow Brothers now what I'm saying. Um. It's hard to talk about but in mid 80s I found my 5 month old son died of SIDS. That just hit me. All meaning was just gone. I got on my bike and for 5 years I just road up and down the east coast. Never looked back. I still have love for my Brothers but my heart died. I haven't talk about in years. Josh daddy loves you. Brothers keep the rubber on the road.

In the mid-70's a biker friend needed to stop by a house to pick up some of California's finest. I'd no idea where we were; my entire world at the time was pretty much living on the street around 4th and Orange in Long Beach. I figured we were somewhere in Orange County :) In the driveway he said "you gotta come in but you're gonna look at your feet the entire time...... you keep your eyes down, do not look at anything or anybody, and not one word unless somebody speaks to you first....... and no, you can't sit out here in the car, they'll kill both of us.........". It was the first I'd ever meet The Mongols, had no reason to fear, and gotta admit it was an honor to pass through, trusted and vouched for. Superb interview, man!
