And basically all the songs that he played and released during the last 10 years have been written and produced by Masaya... And while being quite good, I don't see them as 'some of the most incredible' songs.

I don't see anything "cute" about this. Toshi was obviously still very much in pain with the loss of hide. If you lost your friend so suddenly, and had to live with that pain everyday, and that void, I would defy you that memories of that person wouldn't make you cry. Obviously, it took him 10 years of "healing music" to help him cope with the loss. He has produced some of the most incredible songs that very few people have heard this side of the pond since then.
