This proves that Jean and Madelyn were switched after phoenix saga, that the real Jean was the host for the phoenix force, and sinister switched them perhaps in season 5 after their wedding Edit: phoenix fragment usually activates upon the host’s death to resurrect the host.
I wonder if they're going to end the series with the way that X-Men Adventures closed, with the Phoenix joining all life together before it gets snuffed out.
Well originally the Phoenix became evil when it's personality latched on and became enthralled by it's host Jean's human emotions. Eventually through Jean's death it finally was freed of the emotional poison it had let itself become tainted by.

Hate that it was just a fragment but Phoenix is too powerful to tell a compelling story. I want to see them adapt "Here comes tomorrow" where Jean resurrects in the future as the one true Phoenix and then burns away the world, resetting the timeline while in the white hot room.
This. Jean and the Phoenix Saga story are so intertwined but it also only works because it ultimately ends with Jean's 'temporary' death - her being the Phoenix makes her so OP that it trivializes any challenge or problem that her character needs in order to develop. It's why I liked that one Jean Grey solo comic run - where she has memories of being the DP, and travels to meet other cosmic-level heroes in a journey to understand herself and her role as the Phoenix Force host - it was a slightly meta take on the dilemma of Jean Grey as a character vs plot device. Also, I'm tired of the constant flamebird we get in all Jean-related media. Give me Marvel Girl telekinetic pink bolts again!
It is a bit odd though how she's like, alright I'm done... And there was a lot more to do. I kinda also feel like anytime they are down trodden the phoenix will just appear. Still loved the series but just my thoughts
My emotions exploded in tears because I identify myself as a Phoenix, thru all the bad I experienced and I STILL came back stronger with staying power to stand with authority in TRUTH.
Okay so I know this is an off topic question but. If Jean wasn't with Scott and couldn't be with Logan who would you think she should be with and why? P.S I'm just plan curious
The Phoenix Force is known to resurrect its user(s). Not the first time it's been done and likely won't be the last. Granted, I would've preferred a bit more narrative warning/foreshadowing.
Yeah I feel it was rushed and Jean didn’t use her full potential as Phoenix. She could have saved the day all on her own. A possible explanation is that the Phoenix was dormant in her for a long time. I agree with you though: Bad writing.
Onslaught vs the white crown( phoenix) the most powerful phoenix even more powerful than the dark phoenix because onslaught is more powerful than any villain times 10

Cool, Cloak and Dagger cameo, wasn't expecting that! LOL Sinister is a old man and Morph reaction was great too!

The Phoenix can truly be a force for good if managed by a strong telepath, and who better to do it than Jean herself.

Surprised Sinister didn’t crumble into dust like Rasputin in the Anastasia movie. I think Jean showed restraint by letting him live.
