GR1M Equixz0r lol same here. Defies physics. There's been a few heavy RB's over time that had some beer belly to them, even currently, like Lynch and ect., but none really like "The Bus" though. But these days, as soon as a RB starts gaining weight, they put him on a scritct diet lol. In this current type of game, I wonder if they'd make Bettis lose weight too, or if not, how would he do. Cuz now they want RB duos and pair two different types of runners together and switch them in and out during plays. So I feel if he played today, then they'd have Bettis just have to split his reps with another back and use Bettis more as a 1st and 3rd back and on plays where they want to run straight up the field as a North/South type of back. In today's game, teams prefer lighter/less heavier backs that are multipositonal and can lineup in many different types of packages and plays on the field and that can also block and catch passes. They've been moving away from the one-dimensional bowling ball type of running backs and moving to these new, hybrid-backs, that can do it all. Like Bell or Mcafree and ect. But yea, there really wasn't anyone like The Bus though. I miss watching him play.
That's how I would describe Earl Campbell every time he ran. I was just a little kid but I remember people would say that Houston had only 3 plays in their plays in their playbook. Earl Campbell left, Earl Campbell right, and Earl Campbell up the middle
Dear comment section, you guys would be *way* more helpful if you guys told me which _plays_ i missed rather than which _players_ I missed, thanks And btw, Beast Quake isn't a truck also I'm not adding the A-train or Brandon Jacobs trucks from 2006 cause the quality of those clips are horrible
Lol "it's not about the money" @ 7:57. I literally just saw a vid describing how quickly Peyton Hillis's career dropped once he asked for more money. The man stopped loving the game. He said so himself
Thats a prime example of why the NFL is all about money and vegas runs shit.. everyome knows lynch scores easily from 1 yard out id say 75 percent of the time but they call a fucking pass. Play come on lol. Thats why i watch college football
I am a cowboy fan and really used to hate the Steelers and Jerome Bettis but he was the best trucking back I have ever seen. He didn't have the most awesome hits but he trucked every play he got the ball.
Indeed, and the ‘invincible’ Chancellor was beaten at 3:41, too!! Chancellor was a great tackler, no doubt, but when leverage and momentum wasn’t in his favor, he was not the Superman many fans seem to think he was; the much publicized hits on Vernon Davis did not mean he was a stronger man per se at all. Anyway, he was beat here by Rodgers!
Walter Payton's philosophy- if you can change the expected time or angle of impact against the tackler, you can go through them. He was so great to watch.
8:46 Even as a pats fan...I gotta admit, that was better than the Dan Connoly kick return. He didn’t get as many yards from the return as Dan did, but GOD DAMN! 😂
Yeah, big ol' Todd Washington! Great play; it could be heard out on the interstate! Unfortunately, it didn't work out too well for the guy that hit him since it ended his career!
8:44 might be the hardest collision I’ve ever seen in a sport. He completely absorbed all of the energy of what looked like a LB who probably weighs 220+ lbs and left him writhing on the ground. That dude probably has head trauma now. Rough
8:03 Walter Payton. He was a small guy, but one of the greatest to ever play the game. A kind soul and a fierce competitor. Tarik Cohen has flashes of Walter in him from time to time.... The Sweetness will always be NUMBER 1!
They don't really call it on the rb but most the time I see the refs call it on defence if helmet to helmet even if rb are ones that do it first. never understand why never call it on the rb. It's hard enough for defense since that can't takle high or to low get called on it lol

My coach showed us this video after practice today and looked this video up just for that hit
I know this is a 4 year old comment, but this play made me go "Oh shit!" out loud.
Fearon Wright - the player who got hit - retired after this play.
“Maybe this guy can play both ways”
As AP runs over a guy named Gay

That wasn't lost on me.

Always thought it was funny with the new rules a running back can still use his head as a battering ram.
Douche Sensei now that you mention it that sounds correct. I never seen it called though.
Douche Sensei found the rule. Can't be used "outside the tackle box". So when running through a guy at the line I guess it's ok.
They don't really call it on the rb but most the time I see the refs call it on defence if helmet to helmet even if rb are ones that do it first. never understand why never call it on the rb. It's hard enough for defense since that can't takle high or to low get called on it lol
