ld4743 I will echo that, some of these HD performances I have never seen. Eternal really are the best and were there long before any of the other girl groups.
One of my favorite 90's songs!
But no reason to "warm up" the audience with clapping and singing when you're only start the playback and interrupt the crowd. They were/are fantastic live singers. Other acts were not, I think, so they didn't allow live performances at all *lol*

Agreed. Not only does it disrespect Bebe and all black men but it gives it away that they're just miming to a track and the only live bit was her warming the crowd up.
Sadly the 90s was rife with this. Anything for performances to look perfect, and most people were oblivious.

@@randerson2525 I think the tv channel over voiced the original live performance. You can barely hear the crowd and a crowd is usually not muted.

You should read about Eternal in the Big Life book by Jazz Summers. Big Life was their management/PR company after 1st Avenue and when they dropped Kelle. He tells stories about what divas they were and how much EMI Records had to spend on them! They had two different Rolls Royces driving each sister to the same location and they phoned staff in the UK when they were overseas in the USA for stupid reasons. Finally, in this performance which was for CHARITY, they charged the organisers £30,000, which EMI covered by a "donation" to perform when all the other acts performed for expenses! £30,000 in 1998 is £55,000 in 2020s money 😮
