As a new reader/collector this is exactly the kind of videos I need to watch. I don’t want to turn around a few years from now and have boxes and boxes of things I don’t want anymore or that nobody needs.
When you said at the end "I know I probably seemed like a jerk..." Angelo I watch a lot of comic content on TH-cam and you and Sara are the most honest, kind, and genuine people of the bunch by a mile. People feel like they can trust you and it shows. That will take you so much further than a few extra bucks here and there from trying to maximize the profitability of every interaction you have with people in the hobby. I've unfollowed a good few channels because I don't like the way they treat the people they're buying and selling from, or they're just blatantly dishonest. It doesn't feel right to me watching that kind of content. But every time I see a new Comics Den video I know I've got 20 or 30 minutes of good vibes to enjoy while I do the dishes or cook dinner or whatever.
Great video as always. His partner sitting disappointed on the couch thinking, “Pete, you told me some folk were gonna buy your crap! Who’s gonna pay for my holiday to Hawaii that I booked last night??!!”

Hi Angelo Ed here and I agree with everyone here, you were not rude. Honestly as soon as he said the price , I had the feeling it was way too high. At this point you can tell when there is someone buying books to invest in or someone buying to flip and sell. The collection was a lot of Randoms, good books to read but not 3.5K worth. So good video, you did right. As an older guy I’m really big on respect, especially coming into a someone’s home, so if you treat/give a person respect you are good. Buy or not buy, respect goes far in my book. Good video.

these are most of the collections I find in the area.
