- People might not know that there is an existing college course called BS in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering or BS in Sanitary Engineering.
Sanitary Engineering a field of Engineering focused on the protection of Public Health and the Environment. In this video there are some facts and opinions that you want to hear if you want to pursue the program.

Sanitary Engineer's sign and seal hindi pwedeng mawala sa construction and land development plans particularly sa plumbing, sewerage, drainage plans, fire protection plans ng buildings, subdivision, irrigation, etc. Sila ang main engineers sa waterworks utility companies like Maynilad, Manila Water, etc. Sa private practice mas madami silang kliyente at opportunities kesa ECE, Chemical, Mining, Ceramics, Metallurgical engineers, etc.

@@jgja1931 Yup. Pag graduate ka ng CE sa isang school na may SE, one year lang pwede mong tapusin ang SE. Pero kung graduate ka ng CE from other schools ipapatake sa 'yo for 2 years for residency purposes.

Preparation is the key and do not overthink. . .Unlike other engineering majors mas madaming tungkol sa concepts at terminologies tayong maeencounter na questions para sa SE boards at medyo konti lang yung portion ng calculations (Based on my experience). Kaya prepare using your most effective study habit , manage your time wisely and always trust yourself. Thank you for watching :)

Hi thanks for watching the vid, i cannot give you any figures regarding employment, but the good thing is that, the market is not saturated for SE's, theres no competition and a lot of oppurtunities. Also some of my friends are working on their own business related to the profession. You can check on job posting websites so that you have some idea.
@@watermelonhead3866 ang alam ko lang po kasi as of the moment na sure ako ay sa Maynilad lamang. Natatakot rin ako if merong kukuha ng sanitary engineers kesa sa mga civil engineer na nakapag specialized into water works. Kaya I have doubts on this. I really need your guidance.
Other than water works we are heavily engaged to other fields.
I have friends working in DENR, some are working in the city/municipal/provincial health offices, i myself is currently working in an international consulting firm as a hydraulic engineer (i have bunch of friends working on the same path as well, some are working in the construction field, some have their own business. If you're still in doubt you can research on your own. Oppurtunities in every field of work is endless my take is widen your horizon and work on yourself so that oppurtunity follows you.

Not sure po for Environmental Engineering, pero for BS in Sanitary Engineering po ay wala.
how many years will it take po sa civil engineering then ung 1year tracj?
Depende po sa school, may school po gaya ng NU na dapat accoplished po yung CE program, then 1 year para sa SE.
Meron din naman pong program ang ibang school gaya ng mapua na sabay ang CE/SE, not sure lang po kung ilang years ngayon yung CESE program.

Ang program po ng SE sa batsu ay straight o full time. No need for CE degree.
Sir what if po full time SE po ako, Pagnakagraduate ako at nagtake ako ng Civil Engineering ilang yrs po kailangan para makagrduate sa civil, 1 yr lang din po ba?
Hi, sa pag kakaalam ko ay depende sa school na papasukan mo. Pero sa estimate ko ay hindi kakayanin ng 1 year lang, baka abutin ng 2-3 years depende kung full time student ka ulit o hindi.
Meron ding mga university na nag ooffer ng Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation(ETEEAP), pwede mo matake ang CE ng 1 year dun pero ang minimum requirement nila ay 5 years working experience na related sa CE.

Sir, ano pong pinagkaiba ng plumbling plan at sanitary plan?
Hello, I can't give you the exact difference, pag sinabi po kasing plumbing per UPC it is the business, trade, or work having to do with the installation, removal, alteration, or repair of plumbing systems. Then the term sanitation (in relation to plumbing) it refers to the disposal and conveyance of wastewater from plumbing fixtures to a treatment facility or an existing public sewer line. Ang complete plumbing system dito sa Pilipinas consist of Water supply and distribution, Sanitary (DWV) and Storm drainage, included ang sanitary system from sewer lines up to treatment facility (septic tank or STP) sa isang plumbing system. Kaya po mag kasama lagi ang term na plumbing and sanitary.

Hindi po specific sir. Sa overlapping of works po. Kasi di ba ang CE may na basic knowledge sa sanitary so pwede bang mag implement or magcompute nga sanitary related?
@@rivelynmartinez7602 May mga specific systems/fields ng sanitary engineering ang related sa CE since ENSE is a branch of civil engineering, in my opinion po pwede naman. Kaya lang po there are specializations po talaga ng SE na sa program ng BSENSE/BSSE talaga naiituro yung buong concept at under po samin yung scope per RA 1364, to know our scope you may refer to RA 1364 (Sanitary Engineering Law).

Yes may difference ang Sanitary Engineering sa Environmental Engineering. If graduate ka ng degree na BSSE magkakaron ka ng background sa parehas na field, kaya lang ang magiging license mo if ever na magtake ka ng board exam sa PRC ay Sanitary Engineer.

Yes, madami kasing fields of specialization yung profession ng SE na nasabi ko sa video. Maliban dun konti lang bilang ng mga Licensed SE kaya minsan binibigay na sa ibang engg profession yung work o projects na dapat ay sa sa mga SE.
