i can play the ukulele, i can somewhat sing, but i cant do it at the same time.
Singing and strumming was the hardest part for me to learn but with practice it gets easier and easier. You can do it. 😁

This is glorious, I have been researching "teach yourself to play ukulele online" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Fenaylern Nonpareil Formula - (do a search on google ) ? It is a smashing exclusive product for discovering how to play the ukulele like a pro minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate got great results with it.

Damn, thank you so much for this! This is the only tutorial on strumming and singing at the same time that has helped! I’ve only been playing since this summer, making songs with just one strum the entire time because it’s the only way I could sing and play at the same time, I’ve been practicing for a few hours now and got everything down except for the ‘you’re the magicians’ because my hand just like stops working there but I’ll work on it hah😂 thank you so much :)

Hi from Canada! New sub 🙂 I'm of course a beginner (at 59, yay) and there seems to be a big jump from playing one strum (or only down strum continuously) to the Hawaiian strum, haha. I'm sure I will get it over time, but once I start playing I lose it and end up just moving up and down trying to keep up to the pace i started at... But I "will" get it. 😆Thanks!

My biggest challenge is getting the strumming to sound consistent and never miss strings. I've watched videos on that topic on TH-cam but it's still very challenging. Trying only gentle strums they sound most consistent, but it's very difficult to do gentle strums and always hit every string. Higher pressure strums it's easier to hit every string, but the pressure and sound itself feels very different to replicate between strokes. Appreciate any tips!

@@sheetalmahajan4150 don't give up. I still don't consider myself an expert, but I was able to make progress on strumming by focusing on it as the primary thing I was trying to improve for a while. I find that it is easiest to improve if you focus on one thing at a time, and practice it enough so that it becomes almost automatic. I picked about 5 videos from his channel of simple songs that I liked best, made a playlist out of them that lasted about 20-30 minutes, then practice that playlist each day (or as often as you can with your fingers having time to rest). Sometimes focus on chord transitions, sometimes add singing, sometimes focus on light strumming, sometimes focus on whatever other technique you want to improve. If you do a few days where strumming is your primary focus, and every strum you are paying attention to it, experimenting with slightly different ways to figure out what sounds better and is easier to do naturally, you will improve!
