    Why lateral displacement increases when wavelength of light is less ???🤔🤔🤔

    • @tbsm8302
      @tbsm8302 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because wavelegnth decreases with increases in refractive index.

    • @dakshpatel3078
      @dakshpatel3078 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      If wavelength decreases then velocity also decreases therefore the light will bend more while passing from rarer to denser medium so higher the angle of incidence and emergence higher will be the perpendicualr distance ie lateral displacement between them.

    Sir plz tell that : acc. To you more angle of incidence more displacement but angle of incidence is equal to angle of emergence than why displacement becomes more as that angle of emergence is greater than the light will bend less?
    Plz tell sir

    Sir you told that angle of incidence=angle of reflection 🙄
    But how we get to know it

    • @mayankdubey5817
      @mayankdubey5817 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sir now o got to know,
      It is due to the principle of reversibility

    Sir what if ..the angle of incidence of violet and the monochromatic light is same this means the angle of refraction is too same then ...it also .implies angle of emergence is too same .....therefore my question is ..that ...if all the factors related to the lateral displacement are ..equal to the monocromatic light and the violet light so how could it be possible to say that violet will show the most lateral displacement...
    Thank you
