  • The Roland MC-707 is a great tool for making synth wave or other synth genre music. It has a lot of retro Roland sounds inside. And it also have all the great drum machines from the 80´s and 90´s.
    That being said.. this Groovebox has it all for any genre of music. All the acoustic sounds are great and natural.
    Here is the link to the original song by The Midnight : • The Midnight - Sunset ...

      Nick Lanng - Cool !!
      There is only one thing I’m missing.. song mode.. the possibilities to chain patterns (scenes) into a song is not an option unfortunately.. but you can make 8 scenes which you can trigger in any order you like :)
      But for live it’s a great box :) All in one :) :) I just love it 😊 Best Buy :)

    • @roryjineffect
      @roryjineffect 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got the 8S during quarantine, recently got the 707. I love both. You can get quick drums on the 707, but you can really go deeper with the 8S on that, so if you are focused on drums, then that is totally worth it.
      The 707 is great for live performance and I am just only starting to dig in, but new ideas spring up constantly.
      I also picked up a 6S for portability and smaller set ups, had previously gotten the 101, but could not do the level of editing of sounds/effects as readily as I can on the 707, so the 101 is going to have to find another home.

    It looks alot better than how it works. GO Buy an MC 909 You will write without banging your head against the wall. Terrible manual and the step recording is just so bad in terms of its layout. Roland Wins the Award for worst user manual and worst support tutorials in the history of mankind. Congratulations ! Don t buy this unless you really learn quick. And If you dont and do buy this it will be in the closet alot sooner due to the terrible lack of planning Roland put into this. Seriously I came up with amazing stuff with the MC 909 while i was learning. This is a joke due to the terrible manual and lack of solid tutorials put out by Roland. Maybe someone else can step up. But do yourself a favor save your money ! Go buy a used MC 909

    • @GlennMainMusic
      @GlennMainMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Well... We all chose the platforms we feel works best. And I do agree that the 909 is a great maschine.. The bigger display is also very nice. I belive that the new MC series are based on the ARIA product line, and approach a different group of people.. ex DJ´s and "pattern producers" But for me and my live preformace this works very well.. and now with the new firmwire update it is even better for live use.. you can now do midi CC with external devices regarding Scene and Pattern changes witout touching the 707... But that being said.. I respect you oppinions and I hope you are happy to NOT have spendt money on this one :-) We can not always agree on gadgets :-) I am also hoping that Roland will release a sequenser that is based on the MC50 and MC500.. that would be a dream cime trough :) Have fun with your 909 while I will explore my 707 :-)
      Best from Glenn

      @maccagrabme 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The manual is lousy and its difficult to learn. But it is worth learning as its a powerhouse hidden beneath the surface and the synth engine alone is worth buying it for. I use it with a DAW and its great to bounce audio digitally or copy samples across. I doubt you could do that so easily with the 909 and doubt the sounds are as high end.

    • @Wondermass
      @Wondermass 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I never even opened the manual. Roland have a series of video tutorials that I'm working through.
