I'm so pleased to find these videos by Ali. At 68 years of age I have only recently taken up golf and I wish I had had the opportunity to have a lesson or two with Ali. I'm a 36 handicapper but feel I could get down to 24ish as I continue to watch these videos and try to put the advise from Ali into practise. I always feel very positive after watching his tips. Thank you!!
I love this series of videos you've done on striking the ball. I've been practicing by looking at a line ahead of the ball(from a video some weeks ago) and this has been a revelation. Much better ball strike, flight and although I can't really see the ball in a dark range, it certainly looks like more distance. However, I have been shanking a few and I now think its what you describe in this video so thanks a LOT! I'll now be trying the technique you described today, later in the week.
Good stuff! Do I need to manipulate my wrist in order to deloft the club or does it come natural when you loosen up your wrist and let the lower body lead the swing?
Excellent video, I am new to the game (4 months) and had been hitting my irons mostly the same distance no matter how hard I swung, I gained between 25-40yds on each iron from 54 up to 3 iron. Watching this over and over to make it stick. Very strange swinging with less force and going further.
This is what I was practicing last week as I hit the ball well enough and at a decent carry, but my misses are a leaky high spinner and I know that’s down to me putting an extra 10% into my swing and causing me to be out of sync, and then having to resort back to the half swings to keep the motion again. And you are spot on with regards to practice swings the amount of times I got told this year to trust my swing as I take a practice swing on plane and near on perfect, then put a ball in front and you kinda freeze up a little
It's so hard to do this. My brain says 'slow swing' my body says 'Cream it!!' Note to self: Must try harder (or not so hard, but you know what I mean...).

Good advice. Other golf instructors will talk for a long time before they get to the point. This is good.
Thanks so much Alistair. This has opened up my golf bag & changed my yardage chart. My golf balls no longer believe they are getting a right whooping!

Describes my golf swing and results to a tee. This gives me something that I can work on in the garage over the winter. Thanks
Ali, I like your simplistic approach.

Do you use a high spin ball and have you hit low and high spin balls and seen a dramatic difference in distance ?
That's great content. Watch it many times so it gets in my head for good.
This is exactly what I am struggling with. I have decent control, but a serious lack of distance. I will give this a try in the morning. Thanks, Ali!

Thanks, Ali. Great instruction as always. 👍🏻

Can’t wait for my new p790s to arrive before Christmas apparently!
now I just don’t wanna use my old clubs at all 😆I hate them in fact
That was great, I'm a flipper. 🤪🙄🙄🤔
