My neighbours have a Dammann German made 6 wheeled sprayer. Has a 3000-3500 gallon tank! Impressive machine.
What brand of phone headsets do y’all use?
@@johnkoster7910 @LarsonFarms Yeah, the Dammann is really great! I believe the biggest one has a 3170 gallon tank and you can get up to 160 foot booms! 6 wheel drive, air suspended cab and all the bells and whistles. Not sure if they're available in the US though? th-cam.com/video/YVovvr-BKVU/w-d-xo.html
You already use mostly deere equipment. Why not go with a 616 R?
Hello, how are you? I have a question: why don't you reduce the water flow so you can spray more acres? I spray 3 gallons per acre.
I went from a top air 2400 120 to a 1400 gallon hagie. I struggled with the thought of losing 1000 gallons of tank but it's so much easier to get into corners and does less damage it's worth it. I get just as much done in a day in big square fields but in my odd shaped fields I get another 80 + acres done in a day just from the maneuverability if the front boom
Happy 4th Chet Doug Brody Erik and everyone watching this video I hope you y'all have a good and safe 4th
Fun to see Erik and Chet riding the field together.
i was more of a milenial farmer fan until i found out about this channel. i love the humor, chet is always making jokes and i love it. keep it up guys. you are the best.
Liking one doesn't exclude liking the other...
They do know each other. They only live a little over an hour from each other.
I enjoy both!
I watch both, plus Mike Mitchell in Canada and Iver Farms.
Once again Chet awesome drone shots and editing it really gives us a sense of the scope of your farming and never gets old watching.
The drone shots are a big plus. Thanks
Awesome video Chet and Larson farms!!!
I enjoy watching your videos and I'll continue to watch farther videos of you and your family I'm currently in the hospital and received the worst news anyone can receive. I was told that I have about 6 months of life left. I remember the first video of your channel that I ever watched and you called your dad dugo the destroyer. I also watched all the videos of you and Nicky when she went through her ordeal and eventual passing and just wanted you to know how much I enjoy all the things you do
After 25 years away, we're coming back to MN for Taco Johns.
Very nice drone-footage. Thanks.
Another great video Chet. We always enjoy them. 👍❤️
Apache need to bring out the Big Swede edition... 4 wheel drive and a 3000 gallon tank :D
And /Or rear tracks
From old dog to young pup, put on your chemical gloves, that shit hangs around. By the time you decide I'm right, it's to late 😎
Your absolutely right. . . Air-borne direct into the lungs or absorbed through the skin. . Wear proper skin & air-way protection to prevent the well known issues from exposure.
My father and his friend both had larger grain farms. They were both the sprayer operators. Both passed to young of Cancer!
Yeah, that stuff is a unseen killer. Surprised that fancy rig doesn't have a locker with face shield, apron, gloves, etc
The gloves are a pain in the neck why guys dont wear them. I'm going to invent a machine with large syran wrap pieces from a roll that you stick your hand in and it covers the hand and arm as good as a glove to the elbow. Pulls off quick and thrown away into a basket by the machine.
Loved Amy's comment that in CA a porta pot is required in the fields. I guess this is a good thing if you don't want the workers deucing in your lettuce.
Really enjoy the drone footage, puts everything into perspective!
Hearing them talk about the small tank sizes on sprayers always gets me, I thought I was real big time with my little 4720 John Deere and an 800 gallon tank🤣
You don’t know what you’re missing out on!! 😂
Hearing Chet talk about the tank being small is kinda funny.
I was used to a 280 gallon sprayer and was really happy to get a 500 gallon sprayer last fall.
Where are you spraying, Lilleput would be my guess with such small equipment, am I close? 😂
@@leddielive south eastern Pennsylvania
Hagie with a 2000 gal tank. 😊 Great job with the drone Chet.
And extra ground clearance!
Deere engine and x9 cab
But the extra weight, especially in the wet, can prevent you from filling all of that 2000.
@@garett9510weighs no more than a tractor & pull behind combo.
@@Iamyourfather1 doesn’t have the floatation of the tracks either.
It's always good stuff. Thanks.
Taco Johns is great! I love their Potato Oles! Used to eat Taco Johns all the time when I was at Junior College!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and insights with us 😊
Appreciate the grid that you and all the farmers do for us! Have faith that better days will come, God is good!
Chet you do an amazing job I watch your videos every time you post one
Your channel is gonna keep growing bro! You pump out the content and we all love it. As a long long time you tube watcher nothing sucks more than waiting forever for more content of your favorite channel! Thanks guys you all rock!
Chet if you leave the throttle on the pump at 1/2 throttle it will help it not to backfire. Enjoy the channel because you never know what's next so just have fun and get-ur-done. Watching from North Carolina.
What part or NC are you in?
Hope you had a great Fathers Day Doug. You are truly blessed with an amazing family. Hope you enjoyed the Taco John's your mom brung for you Chet. Shes the best. Hope your having a wonderful 4th of july even tho your weather isn't the greatest.
Love the drone work!!
These two guys are looking cool and behave cool all the way .Cheers from Australia and New Zealand 🇳🇿
That aerial view really shows the difference in plant growth across the field.
Thanks for another sweet video
Happy Independence Day to all of you.
The technology has become increasingly sophisticated. Keep smiling
Superb drone footage as always!
Nice!
Enjoyed the video.
Little disappointed y’all didn’t fly the drone under the sprayer. Go for the money shot!😂
Chet, check out the Hardi Rubicon 9000 selfpropelled sprayer. It has a bigger tank than your sprayers have.
Love the video, keep them coming. Happy 4th of July to all the Larsons crew.
Happy Father’s Day Doug!
❤😂 hello everyone from Bob and Scotland Dundee keep the good work out I love watching your program keep me happy thank you💕
Hopefully you guys got all the fields planted and they are growing. It's going to be as Dougo said quite interesting this fall stay tuned.
I’ve been watching our farmers for many years. I’ve seen several do this sprayer comparison. Down sides of the self propelled is the tank size & having another engine/machine to work on. Upsides is travel time, speed & agility. I will tell you, 90% of farmers use self-propelled. My favorite set up to watch is Welkers’ Big Bud see & spray. Coolest thing is that is the nozzles actually plays Star Wars theme as a test run. They’ve been in a horrible drought for 3 years. Nick said the savings in chemical for one year will pay it off in a few years.
Your videos are the best ever keep them coming
Another fun one. Reading off bunch of numbers.. "fill'n 'er to plumb full"
Nice drone footage, you can really see the ponding. You guys are just the best channel ever.
Suns out Guns out lives on. 😂❤
Great video to end the day with, hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July.
Just ordered a couple shirts from Farm Focus, thanks as always Chet
Happy 4th to all of the Larson farm's
Here in Europe we have self propelled sprayers from 2100 gallon 8000 litre, the agrifac condor endurance II
Good stuff guys
I enjoyed it good video
Great video man
outdoor camper shower - easy-peasy - for all your emergency rinse needs.
Great video
I love this video
happy 4th of july from Norway
Chet, be glad y’all are up where y’all are at. We’re about to get drenched down here in Texas. Hurricane Beryl is about to come through here next week. It should only be a tropical depression by then, but it’s supposed to drop 4-8 inches over about 4 days.
Love it
Corn in Tennessee is already tasllin out 6 foot tall!! And some 6 inches
Really hot there is it?
You guys keep getting rain, while we’re very dry here in central S.C. Send some down our way!! Happy Independence Day 🇺🇸
The content is very good
Larson farming American independence day 4th July it's 2 in the morning here in the UK now the 5th July ..the spray equipment certainly doing a great job best regards to all on this farm 🎉
Chet Dougo Amy Eric that was great great explanations that is what I like you tell the good and bad
great video
It's a great video.
As I watched the sprayer unfold in that drone shot , Waiting for it to take off and start to fly !
Thanks for another great video Chet.
It was interesting and enjoyable to watch.
You and Eric are doing a lot of spraying with the new Apache unit.
From what Eric is saying it is a nice unit. Several dislikes but you have that with anything. But overall the comments are good and a very nice piece of equipment.
Nice weather for spraying which really helps. You and Eric covered a lot of acres today. Good going guys.
About it I guess. Heard Dougo talking about digging a new well for the farm that will produce more water 💦 per minute for loading the water tanks and such. That should be an interesting project.
Thanks for everything Chet. You all take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
PS. Heard you hurt your arm Chet. What is that all about????!
Spraying from sun up to sundown and hope you finish with it. Happy 4th be safe out there
love the content
Welcome to Farming Big Swede!! Make it or break it!!!
We have aphace love it.
Was away a bit but back! Happy 4th and hope ya'll have been awesome. will have to catch up =))) tyvm for the vids. edit:The videography & editing has come a long way!! Grats all!
Magnifique vidéo et le pluvieux automoteur et bien équipés pour les grands champ 😂😮😅😊
2:23 That, and it's also less painful at the pump. For me at least.🤣
Awesome video guys. Not sure which one would be the bad influencer here. I'm sure it would be what one doesn't think of the other one would. 🚜🚜🚜
Beauty sleep not working...LOL!!!! Enjoy the vids thanks..🙂
Never ceases to amaze me how well corn in the USA takes crazy amounts of water. We had 8 inches of rain last october in the UK and it pretty much destroyed 50% of our planted wheat. I know one is going into winter vs summer but its alwasy quite spectacular.
Try a red 4450 patriot. 1600 gallon. You can then aftermarket stretch the tank to 2500 gallons
Nice edit!!!
Have a great fourth of July to you your family and friends
You have a rinser on the tender trailer. Cop a squat over it and use it like one of those fancy French bidets😂😂
😂
Have a load mix and ready to fill when he gets back
Happy 4th!
The other advantage of the self propelled is you can spray later in the season with the extra ground clearance.
Happy 4th to all of you at Larson farms be safe and God bless
Happy 4th of July to all at Larson Farm's!
The Apache looks like a second cousin of a Dakar race machine when folded up in transit 🏎️
Happy 4th Chet Doug Brody
Happy 4th ... don't fall off the Pontun !! 💙💙💙
In Germany we have The Dammann DT 3500H S5. It has 3200 gallon and a 6 wheel drive. That sprayer is huge.
Horsch sprayer 2000 gallons
Team Larson ! Yupper
Apache has a good, solid reputation for providing a sprayer that you can depend on. Even Welker's have one! At the end of the day, all that matters is that the job is done correctly. Apache has a reputation for providing just that. Then all that matters in the numbers.
The way he was sawing on the steering wheel reminds me of driving an old Ford 9000
Got to love Doug his going to Church is Car yard
They smaller batch tank and faster ground speed which calculates into more acres per day can only mean the work load on the tender is now greater.
The sprayer is along way from Mooresville Indiana. 20 minutes from me
Look into AG trucks made out of Montana. 50mph road speed and up to 2400 or 3000 gallon tank size. Very cool for our area out in Oregon.
Hagie still makes an STS 20 for a 2000gal tank. Surprised you haven't looked at on of them.
A Hagie sts20 sounds like it would fit your operation much better. You should try to get a demo soon!
