The War on Whiteness & The West: Murray's Brave New Book Exposes How We're Taught to Hate Ourselves.

  • International best-selling author Douglas Murray returns to the #SWYSI sofa to discuss his critically acclaimed new book: "The War on the West: How to Prevail in the Age of Unreason", which the Daily Mail has hailed as "The most important book of the year" (www.amazon.co.uk/War-West-How...)
In his book Douglas Murray asks: if the history of humankind is one of slavery, conquest, prejudice, genocide and exploitation, why are only Western nations taking the blame for it?
"It’s become perfectly acceptable to celebrate the contributions of non-Western cultures, but discussing their flaws and crimes is called hate speech. What’s more it has become acceptable to discuss the flaws and crimes of Western culture, but celebrating their contributions is also called hate speech. Some of this is a much-needed reckoning; however, some is part of a larger international attack on reason, democracy, science, progress and the citizens of the West by dishonest scholars, hatemongers, hostile nations and human-rights abusers hoping to distract from their ongoing villainy.
"In 'The War on the West', Douglas Murray shows the ways in which many well-meaning people have been lured into polarisation by lies, and shows how far the world’s most crucial political debates have been hijacked across Europe and America. Propelled by an incisive deconstruction of inconsistent arguments and hypocritical activism, 'The War on the West' is an essential and urgent polemic that cements Murray’s status as one of the world’s foremost political writers."

You got to be kidding, after listening to this drivel? Whil it is true that the white culture has maybe accepted things like black pride too much without a counter movement, there's nothing the matter was saying white pride as long as you say English pride, or French pride, or Italian pride, or American pride. Of course then, you can't exclude black people because blacks are americans. I noticed you say that blacks say that whites aren't capable of producing anything, they have no culture, they have no history, isn't that pretty much what the white racist say about blacks? And isn't it so obviously bull crap that you should just be able to go past it, even forgetting that the person saying it might be black or muslim? There are good reasons why other races may be angry at ALL members of the white race even though they only have an experience with a very small amount of whites but that is because they are being racist as well, so are you going to match racism with more racism? When the beginning of the problem started with racism? Sounds to me like a losing strategy, you're saying blacks and Muslims are trying to take over White domains, well that may be true in England its sure not true in the United States where the entire United States is stolen territory. But a lot of your adherents are in the United states, claiming that the United States was basically created by God for white people. I hate to say it but it was created by God for Native americans, and the white race stole it by force of arms, with the means including genocide and nearly wiping out the buffalo. I have no problem as a white person admitting that, but I am not the person who stole their land so I am not a colonizer. I'm not even a colonizer because I still live in the United states, I am stuck the same as Native Americans with a system that doesn't really care about any of us, unless in as much as you can get in the club. And I think we know what club that is, and it is not white, it's green. And to be straight the Muslims in coming to England, become English, they do not stay Muslims even though the religion might be Muslim and even though they may consider keeping their own customs and language for a good deal of time after coming to England or France or wherever. It's called being a human being and living with circumstances, and most English are able to do it, just as most Muslims are able to do it. There are some hate crimes of Muslim against english, the same as there's hate crimes of English against muslim. That'ss to be expected in any intolerant society that is being taught by its politicians and aristocracy to be stupidly intolerant and flagrantly greedy

I am not a Westerner but have lived most of my life in the UK. Over more than forty years, I have observed and identified many issues with the Western society, some of which I strongly condemn. However, I have also observed a gradual and, it appears systematic, erosion of a feeling of belonging to one's country and society and, especially in the past few years a condemnation of simply being Western, and especially white, at the expense of promoting other ethnicities. The UK, and in particular England (probably to a lesser extent Scotland and Wales) has been forced to relinquish its own unique identity in the name of diversity, inclusiveness and of course, 'wokeness'. As a 'foreigner' I find it very sad to watch the country I have adopted as my home going to pot. I do look forward to reading Douglas' new book.

We had clear, rules and straightforward advice to follow: 'The10 Commandments' This guidance and our adherence to these Commandments has brought success and prosperity to the nations who have used these rules to form our cultural ways of living. However, not being superior beings, we have taken a long time historically, in gradually moving toward the level of tolerance and achievement that we have attained.
It's amazing that our ex colonial countries have not attained the same levels of success, especially in Africa, which was handed back as prosperous nations in an orderly manner with local people well trained and well prepared to run and govern their own countries. The Irish would keep planting the potato variety that was not best suited to the soil ,despite warnings. They paid their land rent in grain and ate the potato. A lot of landlords were absentees. A severe famine hit Europe ,the potato crop failed ,the landlords needed to sell their grain, Britain was suffering problems, it was the ‘hungry 40s’ .
The government underestimated the scale of the problem and thought it was just a glitch in the market. Grain was in short supply and the price rocketed, Britain was slow to act to procure grain for Ireland and therefore found it hard and ultra expensive to get it.
A lot of Irish lived on the brink of disaster. By the time the government could get the necessary food thousands had died or moved to England, or America or other parts of the Empire. It was a terrible tragedy. No one set out to starve people to death. It was a disaster caused by a perfect storm of events and policies.

How can trust be formed? How can we make society equal for black people, who are statistically more likely to do worse than white counter parts. But what about Chinese people, Pakistani, Indian, etc as there are races of people that get Massively excluded from the black race discussion. Here in London, the knife crime is such a problem and is mainly black boys killing boys, that people are scared to engage and actively avoid London to some degree. It's about the Marxism of the Frankfurt School beginning in the 1920's who concerned themselves with the central question of "how shall we bring down Western Civilization?" They came up with Critical Theory, which in essence is the practice of relentlessly attacking and criticizing absolutely everything about a society and nation until you bring that society and nation down. Since then Critical Theory has branched out into race Marxism, gender Marxism, energy Marxism, sex Marxism, education Marxism, food Marxism, climate Marxism, and in general identity Marxism, all of which have the goal of causing as much societal chaos and division as possible pursuant to a communist revolution in America and all Western nations. This got a big boost from Italian communist Antonio Gramsci, who wrote in his prison notebooks that they could not succeed until making the long march through all of our institutions. They have done that, and succeeded brilliantly at it. And this is where we find our societies now because of it.

All of what Douglas Murray said in this interview is true and how refreshing to find an individual who has the courage to accurately describe the travesty that has been perpetrated against Western Christian Democratic Countries, particularly the U.K. We are in a fight for our civilisation and every person who loves our way of life, heritage and culture should be angry and support people like Douglas Murray. Western societies are in a situation like the Roman empire, in that there are barbarians at the gate of every Western Democracy they’ve breached the gates and appropriated positions in industry, commerce, education, politics & government, media, both news and social media platforms. The majority of people have been silenced after 60 years of indoctrination that’s resulted in fear of voicing concerns because of the dread of being called RACIST. It started after the second world war when people like John Enoch Powell, known as, Enoch Powell, Criticised mass immigration, particularly Commonwealth immigration to the United Kingdom and proposed the Race Relations Bill. He was targeted and vilified as a White Supremacist, Racist & Nazi. He was initially an academic and at age 25 became a professor of Greek at Sydney University, Australia. He served in WWII, rising from private to brigadier. In 1950 he won a seat in Parliament as a Conservative. He rose through various posts to become Minister of Health (1960-63) and challenged Edward Heath for the party’s leadership in 1965. His stance on immigration and a speech that became known as ‘The Rivers of Blood’. He was basically hounded out of politics and thereafter branded a Right Wing Racist.

The law, freedom, science and culture has given rise to happier, healthier and more prosperous humans. I am pro human. I love what gives the largest numbers of humans improvement in their lives. Great program as always.

As we descend into minority status in own own ancestral homelands, we'll need to develop a racial consciousness in order to survive. We can't just be "individuals" any longer. It's either that or risk becoming prey to other groups, many of whom seek radical vengeance for the putative "crimes" of our ancestors.

What is something good about being white? Not having a chip on your shoulder about... not being white? Or being obsessed with skin colour? White people, living in the countries they established or are native to, in systems that are proven to be the best for the majority, when functioning properly, and just getting on with it? Free to do that?
This issue only exists in multiculturalism. It's the most ridiculous development or consequence of the multi racial mania. Does it happen to black people who are born in China? Indians who were born in an African state? Or is it purely those who share space with white people? Is it unique to us? It is only our countries that has done this experiment... Africans emigrating to American do not seem to have the hang ups of black Americans. It's becoming one long argument that multi racial societies cannot work on any notable scale. It makes too many people unhappy.

We’re seeing in Europe and America right now the words “white,” “Western,” and “European” which have become de facto condemnations rather than statements of racial, cultural, and geographical fact.
Just bloody ridiculous, that I as a white, South African of European descent (of Germanic and Welsh ancestry) and Western inclination, cannot claim neither British nor German citizenship. But Britain can allow 2 million Hong Kong Chinese in, thousands of Arabs, thousands of south east Asians and thousands more blacks (from Africa & the Carribean) in, but not me. And yet I have a Spiritual, cultural, psychic, historical, and dare I say it, genetic link, via the Celtic gene, yet I am not considered suitable for emigration, and am made to jump through hoops to tick umpteen boxes to verify my usefulness to the nation (as a possible future immigrant). But all these other groups are allowed in, with minimal scrutiny, none of whom have the connections I have, but they are more welcomed then me.

Like many in the country I am sick to death of being told how bad our country was and still is. The slave trade, how we abused India, Africa etc. Closer to home how bias we all are. The television "adverts" -shocking -every advert has a BAME face, or mixed race family. The straw was this week ITV 2, the Chase, an entire team of competitors black or other minority. We are 92% white, those of another colour are welcome but they are still a minority, they must feel like the "token" in this war. Shame on Government for allowing it, and take a look at Government are minorities not well represented ???
