you did a good job making this animation, was wondering where you got the model and if you made it would you be willing to share?
Great video,, thanks for thr upload 😎,,,
This video is awesome!
Congrats, Patrick.
And if I may, I'm looking for information, technical drawings in particular, because I want to make the exact thing. I'm very interested in mechanical modelling and I was thinking that maybe this could be a good start for learning.
Can you share some of your sources for the information regarding the development of your model?
Thank you!
I just googled the stroke of a certain engine type, diameter of the cylinder / piston and used photo references in my modeling package. You can find a lot of technical drawings of the motor. If you put that in the background of your modeling software, you can find that there are a lot of measurements that line up and make sense.
Good luck!
You forgot to add the Number 3 exhaust valve breaking up and destroying the cylinder and piston.
Nice. Do a waterboxer Upgrade please
mazing presentation. Thank you.
Had just a few of these apart in my time.
Faltou a representação do carburador e coletor. Consegue fazer uma animação com?
A normal beetle flywheel has one central bolt (terrible) to hold it i found out 😐 isn,t it?
Na versão plana desse motor fica muito bom mesmo .
What does the fan do
The fan is belt driven off of the generator and cools the entire engine including the oil. The engine is air cooled. There is no radiator. Very simple and very effective. Way ahead of its time.
The cooling system is not sufficient at all. Therefore a lot of fuel is wasted for internal cooling through vapor generation. Furthermore the hottest cylinder needs an ignition timing with more heat in exhaust gas and therefore less efficiency.
Alright :-)
Awesome job
The best of the best....
Brillant.
