I’m 30. I experienced sexual molestation as a child and that experience embedded an unhealthy spirit of lust in my life. Fast forward to my 20’s: I had sex in relationships and I had sex casually. Now, I’ve been celibate these last two months (after being traumatized by another failed “situationship” that occurred in May) and I’ve decided not to have sex again until I’m married. Given the current dating market 😅 I expect to remain celibate for a long, long time, even though I do have a desire to have a romantic partner. But I’m at a stage in my life right now in which I’m truly ok with that. I’d rather commit to my walk with Christ than continue to expose myself to deception and distraction by dating in a worldly way.

I was sexually abused as a small child too. It took decades for me to see that fornication was sin. I didn't get it. I do now. 6 years abstinent. Victory!
Jesus experienced great disappointment and frustration before the crucifixion. People put Him through it.

I prayed to the Lord for love with a partner (I was afraid to say the word Husband because I’m a child of divorce and never thought I could be married) and after the Lord introduced me to the man I fell in love with, we fornicated and we were separated.
I cried to the Lord because I did not understand what went wrong. He told me that this man was indeed my husband and he would restore us and bring us together in marriage on the condition that I would be celibate. At the time, this seemed like an impossible task, but I submitted to God and agreed. I’m happy to say I have been celibate for four years now. I know it’s only possible because of God’s grace. I trust that the Lord will restore my husband and I to each other at His perfect timing, but in the meantime, I am married to Jesus and my intimacy with Him is far greater than the pleasure of the flesh. Because I am obedient to the Lord based on a promise, I am free from the curse of the law. Trying to follow the law without that personal relationship with God is impossible which is why we need Jesus and His grace!
What about this man? The question is this: Is he grounded in Christ. Has he repented and is he intent to court & marry you? Too many sisters waiting years & years for a man whose NOT their spouse.

So the garden I’m struggling with is a friendship that turned into a relationship and ended as a friendship that is no longer the same as it was before… and I keep praying that God heal me, I’m sad, I’m hurt all the things and his mom reached out to me and asked me to go to a concert and update me and I realized that I’m being loyal to someone who isn’t loyal to God and well being friends with him doesn’t feel like it’s in the cards and I really feel like this girl talk helped me realize that ❤ I’m sad and crying writing this now and I need to find the moment to be obedient and let her know but yes

Dismantle soul tie and be resolute to be abstinent. For me it meant no chilin at his crib or mine. It meant no making out but that's me. Making out and lengthy kissing gets you fired up.
