I am reminded of in The Talmud [Sanhedrin 66b] how a witch once wanted to cast an evil spell upon Rabbi Chanina. He mocked her by proclaiming the verse “there is none besides Him [G-d]”. With this he disarmed the evil forces by reaffirming G-d’s complete control of the universe. “If G-d desires that I live,” said Rabbi Chanina, “then all your efforts are for naught. And if you are successful in harming me, you should know that this is due to His royal decree. Then you will merely be the medium for His will to be fulfilled.”

Same here friend. I could say the TH-cam algorithm sent me to this man, and that would be true at the surface level, but like you I have a feeling it's far much more than just coincidence. Can I prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt, no, but on the other hand, should I question a good thing when I find it, or I suppose, when it finds me?

The level of suffering around the world needs to stop. We need more joy, dance, singing, prayers, music, art, open spaces for children to play, more values, more empathy, more feeling others, more learning to contact our Mother Earth, more healthy food, more humbleness, more healing from trauma...

Torah, Kindness and Prayer the three pillars that hold up the earth. Kindness has a beautiful energy, when my daughter was born, I knew she was the kindest soul, and its amazing she actually shone with this in action from babyhood, always thought about others, allways put others first, she is strong, she gets upset because the world does not behave like that, I worry about that for her, but then I realise, its the essence, it is the humanity, its neccessary and I should never worry, because it is a Holy and Sacred gift she has in abundance.

    Ecclesiastes 1:16-18
Though I said to myself, “See, I have greatly increased my wisdom beyond all who were before me in Jerusalem, and my mind has broad experience of wisdom and knowledge,”
yet when I applied my mind to know wisdom and knowledge, madness and folly, I learned that this also is a chase after wind.
    For in much wisdom there is much sorrow;

If God gave 66 book of Scripture, I'm sure He is all powerful enough to give us all of His truth that we need in order to know Him. Leave Catholics or Christians alone. Hashem created Torah as blueprint for this world prior to bringing it to fruition, He then left this world incomplete and gave us Torah so that His creations would complete His work. Blessings and curses do work but only if Hashem ordains them. Thank you Rabbi, I am going through a horrible situation right now and needed this. I’m working on my pre-rabbinical studies right now, Conservative Judaism, and needed to be set right. I’ve been delving into some of the more darker parts of Kabbalah to try to find a way to curse those who have deeply hurt me. I know now that I can never do this, only Hashem can. My overt selfishness is to much. Thank you for bringing reason to my understanding. I must bless those who curse me and let Hashem sort it out.

Thank you for the fascinating video. I've been turning some of these very same ideas around in my head for a while, trying to make sense of God having a plan while still giving us true free will and moral agency, while also being omniscient and knowing everything.
It seems the thing that trips us up is our limited perspective of how we perceive time. We can only experience it going forward, bound by cause and effect.
If I'm understanding correctly, the actual truth is more like we've already made our choices, or we're already making our choices tomorrow, before we even know it, and those choices are incorporated into God's plan?
Whether we turn to Him or reject Him, we're still part of His plan, and He builds those choices into the plan itself.

There is something very real about curses...
It is something I definitely wouldn't dabble in after my experience with it.
About 13 or 14 years ago I worked at a little restaurant in my hometown. I was not a practicing Christian at that point... Meaning I wasn't preaching or even attempting to live "the life" at that point... I was rather angry with God actually... 🤔
Anyway... So the cook was a practicing witch... Who apparently hated me... 😳 I mean like HATED me...
I was clueless to the depth of her hatred for me... I just thought she didn't like me... So ok then... 🤷‍♀️
Well, I eventually quit that job and moved on to another. A year later I was walking down the sidewalk near the restaurant and I saw someone running towards me, calling my name.
I realized it was her, and was immediately confused. When she reached me she finally said she had been looking for me for a while because when I left the restaurant she had attempted to curse me, and it had all come back on her.
She had lost her job, her car, her fiance, and was about to lose her house. And she had been searching desperately for me to ask my forgiveness so that maybe she wouldn't lose her house too.
I forgave her, and never saw her again.
It is not wise to duel with energy that is not your own. It never leads to anything good.

I doubt she was a real witch. That is not their way. Witches, The Crone, High Matriarch are wise women that seek balance, wisdom and knowledge. What you described was a woman in a deep depression, self loathing and was projecting that self-hate onto you. Likely there was factors and issues you did not know about that brought her profound unhappiness. I hope she got through that dark time and she found peace. Peace to you too.

Thank you Rabbi Friedman, that was timely and beautiful explanation, for which I am grateful for, (probally eternally greatful) for because it is such a good message. It made me think of Jonah also. May it be His will for us to do according to His will that which is pleasing to Him. When you speak of Him sometimes the vibration of His love becomes manifest and helps us to understand our purpose in this life He gave us. If I am worthy to ask may He thank you for showing this to others in the way He knows best, thanks be to God you are here, thanks for being here holding a candle. I always think of it like this, we have choice, Hashem stands outside time, He knows the future, the present and the past, He sees beyond the seperation, He knows what choices we make. He knows when our choices have been interfered with, He forbade pharmakeia, which gives me an inkling about knowing that others would do this too, I feel His presence, that He is in everybody, so He was in the people who were hurt, but He did not fall under that 'stupor' He held them throughout it all. I know He is the Judge of Judges, the King of Kings and rules all the Spirits, so you are right in everything you said, He has a plan, we should trust it, and pray His will be done.

    Proverbs 16:4
The LORD has made everything for a purpose,
even the wicked for the evil day.

Famous Polish physicist Andrew Dragan calculated what observer that is moving faster than light would see. In this observers point of view, he would see TIME as 3D SPACE. Past present and future would be accessible to him at once. Our 3D SPACE would be for him a SINGLE ONE DIMENSIONAL LINE. I guess we are now figuring out things that Judaism always knew.

The more Good you do, like ripples in water, eventually should return unto you. The bad you do as well unless your forgiven. As it seems to me. Seek the truth from God and Scripture regardless of source, even what I share.

Rabbi Friedman thank you for the opportunity to put my mind to work. You touch do many points in this lecture that is hard to point at all of them. Regardless insanely interesting. My simple question today is, what about when a person chose to do something horrific, why he wasn’t stop just like the guys that robbed the bank as you mentioned?
Thank you for your wisdom Rabbi 🙏🏼

Shallom im not a jew but i know theres something special out there and within us, i live in uk oxford as i was driving i noticed a swash sticker drawn on a public wooden fence in red and at least 2ft large in a village in plain site i felt this is a mock against jews and it hurt me, i called a local police they told me its fine and that the budist use it as a symbol anyway, how ignorant. Its been there for at least 2 months spreading hate and dislike nobody cares not even local council..today after i drop my little ones to school i shall get a bucket and sponge and attempt to erase it...pray for me

The swastika is an ancient Sanskrit symbol. Unfortunately, the Nazis appropriated it. Rather than take the law into your own hands, maybe ask the people running the temple if they could take it down, due to the offense and distress it could cause.

I recently sent out a few curses out of the well of my heart and they turned back to me. I must have been wrong, I hear my God saying. One is in better emotional shape in blessing activities. A terrible school, the prophet's school. 🍷🤒

One should ask, what or who made Moses pray?
Was it will of Moses to pray or was it will of God ?
    As to avoid imminent punishment.
