I will definitely try this! My scalp has been suffering from dandruff since when I was a child and whenever I'm using shampoo especially conditioner, my scalp would dry out easily creating flakes everywhere. I badly needed this treatment.
When they showed her scalp i was expecting a ton of dandruff but it wasn’t that bad. I suffer from itchy scalp with terrible terrible dandruff. It comes and goes as it pleases. I hope i cab get a treatment like this one one day
You can do this at home! I massage a gentle scrub of olive oil and sugar on my scalp and oil my ends like once a month before washing my hair and it helps. Also it's really worth figuring out the cause of the problem so you don't have to just keep masking it with temporary fixes though. ACV solutions sometimes help too :)
There's a difference between dandruff and dry scalp. Both can flake, but dandruff is a medical condition and thus needs special treatment. This sounds like dry scalp which is just dry skin
And she always scratches it. Most of the time you only want to scratch what is dry. Even when you scratch your hands you will get dry skin flakes. Same with the head
@Mika J stop using coconut oil it doesn't suit many people, it dries my skin and hair as well, instead use olive oil, alomond oil, castor oil or you can mix all these in equal quality and add few drops of tea tree oil it helps to get rid if dandruff
Both dandruff and dry scalp can itch. And she did say she might have psoriasis which can really itch. We don't see enough of her scalp to make any conclusions based on this video.
I'm Black with type 4 hair and here's my routine whenever my hair/scalp had dandruff and flaking issues. I would was with the VOS Dry scalp shampoo and conditioner, then I would deep condition either for an hour or overnight if it was late. Then I'd wash out the conditioner, I'd separate my hair into 4 sections and apply my leave in(use your favorite leave in,I use AS I AM leave in conditioner), then I oil my scalp with the Sulfur 8 hair medicated hair dress,it was what was recommended for me when I was younger and I had to go back to what had always worked. Then I appy my favorite Curl Cream(I use AS I AM curl cream). Then I apply my hair grease like original Blue Magic or Softee hair food (the green one). I love hair grease,it's one of the biggest things that helps grow my hair,it helps reduce breakage and seal in the moisture. I then style it into protective twists and put on my satin bonnet. I work in the hospital as a PCT, so I wear a cute scrub bonnet there so my hair is rarely out and has time to rest
I recently started using grease again too, after ditching it for a long time. I just have a hard time getting moisture into my hair beforehand... I haven't found my holy grail deep conditioner yet :(
@@alisharo58 well honestly I know this sounds weird but at Dollar Tree there are these big Purple bottles of shampoo and conditioner and the conditioner is AMAZING! I’m happy that she is happy with her results but I do almost this exact same treatment at home myself. There are products on the market you can buy and do this yourself. Just get a medicated anti dandruff shampoo. A scalp massager. Tea tree conditioner. A hot head microwaveable heat cap. And some coconut oil.
Bucket, Charlie yeah that’s true. I guess I meant more for maintaining a healthy scalp cause I have issues with itchy flaky scalp and being able to do it at home has helped with the problem. And saved money!

Sorry if this is redundant but are you moisturizing in between and conditioning after shampooing? I'm 4C and my hair flakes like nothing with regular oil
TheLadydanni - no worries. Conditioning yes. And I’ve also started applying hair food directly to my scalp. About half an inch between each part of hair.
Try doing a hot oil scalp treatment for a few hours before you shampoo it. Also you could try using co wash sometimes instead of regular shampoo. I only shampoo when my hair gets very greasy with product build up otherwise i started co washing mostly.
My bf has the same! He tried tea tree oil shampoo but it didn't work, then a shampoo from the pharmacy that's for this exact condition, but it didn't help either. Now he started using another shampoo from the pharmacy and we're waiting if it makes any difference

Her hair looks so beautiful and soft!!! I wish I could get this treatment. I had spent years over-washing my hair, so now I have super dry scalp. Especially during winter. I envy her!!! 😭
I have seborrheic dermatitis, which causes oily, flaky yellow dandruff. It is a condition in which natural yeast that grows on the skin that feast on oil causes areas of the scalp to lose water and dandruff forms as a way to protect the scalp from losing water. The best way to treat seborrheic dermatitis is to use dandruff shampoos especially like T-SAL/GEL and to use antifungal creams and ointments.
I have got the treatment and let me tell you for 1 month only my scalp was dandruff free, and then dandruff came back and I experienced even more hair loss
@@avaf02 well yes but the way it is done is similar to how a facial for your face is done. It is meant to be relaxing, and they use similar types of products.
That hair wash looked so relaxing. Family secret for dandruff, use apple juice. Leave on for an hour then rinse. Only had to do once like 6 years ago and cured. Other family members have done it too. First try to scratch off the dead skin layer with a comb. You can have someone do this for you. Then spray with apple juice. It will feel so cooling. I haven't had dandruff since. I should also add that this only works with dry scalp dandruff. If u have other skin conditions then please consult a dermatologist.
