Hey Boyuan, I've been following your content for a while and I'm a big fan, I've actually been in the ecommerce space for about 5 years (running paid ads and email marketing) and I'm looking for an agency to work for and yours caught my attention. I'd love to chat more with you if you have any openings available

Hey! You mentioned that the agency should not charge you a performance fee based on the welcome series, so how should the agency charge the performance fee? Thank you!

    Hi boyuan,
I'm practicing the knowledge I've learned from your videos. I need help with the logic of a post-purchase follow-up email. Basically, I create many ideas in mind and practice them on Klaviyo Flow Builder.
The idea is this: if someone purchases a product for the first time, we'll wait 28 days and send them the first email, thanking them for their purchase and asking for feedback. If the same person purchases a second time, we'll again wait 28 days and send another email thanking them for their second purchase and asking for feedback. This same process should apply for third, fourth, or even fifth purchases.
Could you please help me with this? I understand the logic for the first email (wait 28 days after the first purchase and then send the email), but I'm unsure about the subsequent steps. Should I use conditional splits? What else should I include?

unsure if you got an answer... perplexity gives this answer, which may or may not be best practice. verify it's not out of date.
To create a post-purchase follow-up flow in Klaviyo that sends different emails based on the number of purchases a customer has made, you can use a combination of conditional splits and time delays. Here's how you can structure this flow:
      Flow Structure
Start with a "Placed Order" trigger.
Add a time delay of 28 days.
Use conditional splits to determine the number of purchases.
      Implementing the Flow
Create a new flow triggered by "Placed Order".
Add a 28-day time delay after the trigger.
      Add a conditional split:
Condition: "Placed Order equals 1 over all time"
      Yes path: First-time purchaser email
No path: Continue to next split
On the No path, add another conditional split:
Condition: "Placed Order equals 2 over all time"
      Yes path: Second-time purchaser email
No path: Continue to next split
Repeat this pattern for subsequent purchases (3rd, 4th, 5th, etc.).
For each email, customize the content to reflect the appropriate purchase number.
      Best Practices
Personalization: Use the customer's name and specific purchase details in each email to increase engagement.
Feedback Request: Include a clear call-to-action for leaving feedback or a review.
Cross-sell Opportunities: In later emails (2nd purchase onwards), consider including product recommendations based on their purchase history.
Incentives: For repeat customers, you might want to include special offers or loyalty rewards to encourage further purchases.
Timing: The 28-day delay is a good starting point, but you may want to adjust this based on your specific products and customer behavior.
      Additional Considerations
Use trigger splits instead of conditional splits if you want to base the email content on the specific purchase that triggered the flow, rather than their overall purchase history.
Consider adding a final "catch-all" email for customers who have made more than your specified number of purchases.
Monitor the performance of each email in the flow and adjust the content or timing as needed

If you are looking to take your email campaigns to the next level, you should definitely consider cold emailing. I have been using DoYouMail for a couple of months, and the experience has been excellent. The automatic SPF DKIM DMARC configuration saves so much time for a tech novice like me. I can now send unlimited emails from multiple domains! For just $40/month, it is been a great investment for growing my outreach. You should try it out, it makes things seamless.

The profile filters for this welcome series should be set to 'placed order ZERO times since starting this flow' instead of 'at least once'??
Hopefully no one copied this blindly hahaha
