    This video is so filled with warmth, kindness and sound practical loving advice. I loved it when you said “about being the person in your life that you needed when were younger”. This is a beautiful statement and really touched me. A lot of us didn’t have that but it is inspirational and healing to perhaps be that for someone else. Wonderful video 🥰. Thank you John.

    It’s 5:33 AM, I haven’t slept yet. My depression kept me down and tired all day, my anxiety won’t let me sleep. I feel nauseous and I’m tears eyed and I’m feeling my brain turn colder and more merciless each minute. You have a talent of posting these right when I have anxiety issues

    Anxiety and depression is something I deal with daily. It's exhausting when I feel like that. I am not suicidal. But quite a few of people feel that ending it is the only way to get rid of that pain. Not me. If you need support, talk to someone. It helps. Thank you John for this video. This is really going to help so many people in so many ways.

    It's so nice go have videos like this when anxiety is at its worst and our minds lie to us. Hearing others say these words of guidance helps remember and feel the truth. I know I appreciate it.     I love asmr hair brushing. My mom used to brush my hair when I was sick or couldn't sleep. Now that I'm an adult and live with anxiety, this is perfect for me. I can honestly say I have not seen the end of this video. Thank you for turning off my brain so I can sleep at night.

    I’ve been diagnosed with anxiety/depression since 2014 but in the past 6 months it has become so much more of a struggle to complete daily activities. I spend most of my days doing nothing. I cried watching this because I needed it so bad. Thank you 💜

    I look forward to watching/listening to this before bed. I technically dont suffer with anxiety but I overthink no end and have been told i'm always "too harsh" on myself (thats not for me to judge though) so i'm sure I'll find it useful (as always).     If you are needing to learn a easy to remember way to cope with stress, or negativity on an extreme level, try this:
    Take a long, deep breath in through your nostrils, hold for 5 seconds. Slowly let your breath out through your mouth. Do this one more time, holding your breath for 5 seconds, then start breathing normal.
    1. Look at 5 things and name them.
    2. Feel 4 different things, mindfully noticing how they feel differently, but not over-thinking.
    3. Listen, name 3 sounds you hear.
    4. Use your sense of smell. Do you smell 2 different things?
    5. Taste. Maybe you taste a piece of candy, or a mint.
    Use your 5 senses to take you out of the current situation you are in.
    DBT Training. Helps if you are very mad, very sad, or very stressed.
    Ask yourself: do you feel the bottoms of your feet? Do you feel soft socks? Or tight shoes?
    Do you feel your hair on your head?
    By the time you ask yourself 7 questions, you should be completely taken out of the bad frame of mind you were in.

      Last year I started getting mild anxiety episodes at night. I was afraid of it becoming a regular thing....My bf taught me this method and it has always helped to avoid them.

    Thank you. I needed this. My boyfriend has been being harassed online by someone trying to ruin our relationship. And I can’t stop thinking about the bullshit this person has said. And I have to plan a trip to go see him which is stressful so this was much needed to distract myself and get some much needed rest
