Once in a while you come across a song that touches the strings of your heart. Then you find that it's artist is long dead. Yet here you are, listening to their music. And they'll never know how much you admired their artwork.
Well he did have an amazing appreciation for his music already while he was alive and part of me likes to think he's looking down at us loving the fact that his song is still touching our hearts nowadays 😊
Believe it or not, the world that Louis Armstrong is singing about has been here since the beginning of time. The things he described in his song's lyrics, are the things we often take for granted in pursuit of the things we desire, or the (small but good) things that we ignore because of the horrors we see and go through.
Things I loved about this world… things I enjoyed before getting brutally sick: Amusement parks Long walks with my music Hiking with music Swimming Babysitting children and playing games/acting silly Enjoying a drink & dinner with family and friends Fancy dresses Movie theatres and live theatre/concerts Shopping with my mom Cuddles with my husband Joking around, laughing and talking Sitting quietly working or reading a book Planning a future Vacations- sight seeing Taking photos for the hell of it Getting dressed up for the hell of it Weddings, dance parties, clubs Holidays and parties/ gatherings Singing Playing on swings Cartwheels Admiring and adoring yourself Thinking about beautiful things Enjoying a restful sleep Tanning Watering flowers Admiring beauty and art Going out for dinner Coffeep Being cosy and comfy Being at peace in your body, mind and spirit ❤❤being happy to be alive Oh how I’d give anything to be my old self again- happy, spunky and full of life, focus and energy. This truly is a wonderful world- when you’re healthy and not limited in what you can do. Life is precious and there is so much wonderful things this world has to offer- life is a garden to love, explore and adore. Don’t ever waste it or complain. If you have your health, you truly have it all.
Stop with these words, you don't even know who he was outside of the cameras. Have you lived with him, were his best friend? To recognize his skills in the trumpet, ok, it´s totally fine! But, idolizing a person that only exists in your mind, thinking he had a beautiful heart only by watching him inside the screen of the tv/smartphone? That's a terrible way to admire someone.
@@rubensfelipe9246But what if it makes him happy? Isn't that the best way to live? Be happy because you want to be like an idealized version of a man you have in your mind?

The things he described in his song's lyrics, are the things we often take for granted in pursuit of the things we desire, or the (small but good) things that we ignore because of the horrors we see.
Perhaps the most beautiful song ever written. I'm sure Louis Armstrong would smile while recording it. We're living in hard times but there's always a reason to keep going on. This timeless song will always soothe and comfort people.
Little background info about this song : Contrary to widespread believe this song was not composed by Louis Armstrong himself, but written and composed by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss, always with Armstrong in mind as the possible interpreter. However Louis Armstrong made the song surely his own by his unique style of interpretation.
This was my Grandma's favorite song. She died a couple months before my wedding. When it came time to do the Mother and Groom dance I had no preset song and the DJ played this song. My mom lost it. my mother just recently passed, too, so I hear this song and just break.
This song feels like a last goodbye for good, the last moments of someone before departure, feels like the end. Which is not necessary a bad thing since the joyful comments seem to imply a good ending but still... Feels like a wholesome story that is sadly, closing, and the world must just, move on.

Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.”-psalm 40:1-3 Your loved!❤️

I'm very sorry for your loss.
@@donnakoster9795 hello
First i heard this song in Madagascar when I 3-4 years old. İ said what a wonderful song. Now I listen to it every day. Years pases but emotions are the same
The world needs to listen to this beautiful song,no more wars or conflict, what are we doing to each other.

Happy holidays everyone stay blessed!
I lost my grandfather to Colon cancer this year, and whenever I hear this song or Over The Rainbow by IZ, it lets me know that he’s either in a wonderful world, or somewhere over the rainbow. I love you Papa!!!
Sorry man
I'm sorry about your grandpa, I hope he's in a wonderful world, with his love ones
I'm sorry to hear that, one day you will see each other again
Somewhere
Aawww I'm sorry
It’s would be sadder if your grandfather like this song.
This song always make me cry. This was my grandma’s favorite song, she would always put the song on the radio and my grandpa would dance with me in the kitchen. It always felt as if I was in a movie😢❤️
That's deep. 🙂❤
This song Along makes me cry , but it was your grandma's favorite?!? My whole house woulve been a lake
Same here it makes me cry it was my grandads favorite song
How lucky of you! Life lived like that is better even than a movie, isn't it?
I never meet both of my grandparents so i don't know how it feels. I really glad that you enjoy every moment in your life. Like you said " you are in the movie".
Strings ????
@@Amaboutowin Yeah it's just a saying, when someone touches your heartstrings it basically means it affects you deeply and emotionally.
@@CuriosityKitty-j5j It was just a silly reference from a very (not so) obscure piece of media

He will always be the best
It wasn't until I was 25 that I discovered "dark sacred night" wasn't "dogs say, 'goodnight'". 🌜🐩
Que música linda maravilhosa, uma canção que para muitos, é um hino de paz 😢🙏 LOUIS ARMSTRONG👏👏👏👏🌎☁🌙🌲🌹🌳🌺🍃
WHAT
Yes i heard dog say, goodnight too
Hahahaha
I dont understand
Believe it or not, the world that Louis Armstrong is singing about has been here since the beginning of time. The things he described in his song's lyrics, are the things we often take for granted in pursuit of the things we desire, or the (small but good) things that we ignore because of the horrors we see and go through.
Absolutely
Things I loved about this world… things I enjoyed before getting brutally sick:
Amusement parks
Long walks with my music
Hiking with music
Swimming
Babysitting children and playing games/acting silly
Enjoying a drink & dinner with family and friends
Fancy dresses
Movie theatres and live theatre/concerts
Shopping with my mom
Cuddles with my husband
Joking around, laughing and talking
Sitting quietly working or reading a book
Planning a future
Vacations- sight seeing
Taking photos for the hell of it
Getting dressed up for the hell of it
Weddings, dance parties, clubs
Holidays and parties/ gatherings
Singing
Playing on swings
Cartwheels
Admiring and adoring yourself
Thinking about beautiful things
Enjoying a restful sleep
Tanning
Watering flowers
Admiring beauty and art
Going out for dinner
Coffeep
Being cosy and comfy
Being at peace in your body, mind and spirit ❤❤being happy to be alive
Oh how I’d give anything to be my old self again- happy, spunky and full of life, focus and energy. This truly is a wonderful world- when you’re healthy and not limited in what you can do. Life is precious and there is so much wonderful things this world has to offer- life is a garden to love, explore and adore. Don’t ever waste it or complain. If you have your health, you truly have it all.
What is wrong ?

God bless you all🙌
Dear Stranger, it is a wonderful world, so enjoy it. May God Bless You!
Leaving this comment here so that when I come back here when I am sad, I can tell you something:
I hope you have a great rest of your day!
December 2024 the song sounds great and has an unusual mood 😀
Este esplêndido clássico meu pai amava ouvir. 😢 faz 22 anos que ele se foi . hoje se encontra com senhor sei que Jesus recebeu-lhe de braços abertos.

This is the definition of wholesome to the point of crying
I have always idolized Mr. Armstrong. Not because the beautiful trumpeter he was, but because of the beautiful human being he is.
I find it funny the range of respectful and disrespectful that TH-cam comments are. This is one of the rare videos with the most respectful comments.
I'd love to live in the world this man is singing about.
You do. All of these good things happen despite all the unfairness and horror in the would
@DarthDauck Amen man. Amen
It wouldn't be a wonderful world if there wasn't horror on the other side of the coin

Errol Musk said that that Elon loved this song as a boy.
As long as there is hope for a better world, there will never be an end.
This is faith.
Darwin love tobias is hurt townspeople
Perhaps the most beautiful song ever written. I'm sure Louis Armstrong would smile while recording it. We're living in hard times but there's always a reason to keep going on. This timeless song will always soothe and comfort people.
Всегда улыбка, когда слушаю эту песню. Она лучшая
Little background info about this song :
Contrary to widespread believe this song was not composed by Louis Armstrong himself,
but written and composed by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss, always with Armstrong in mind as the possible interpreter.
Why does this song always manage to make me cry?

I feel sad when listening to the song too. Is it me or is this a sad song?
Well this song is about armstrongs passion about how he still has faith in everyone

I Hear This Song And I Remember Her😢😢😢😢
This song feels like a last goodbye for good, the last moments of someone before departure, feels like the end. Which is not necessary a bad thing since the joyful comments seem to imply a good ending but still... Feels like a wholesome story that is sadly, closing, and the world must just, move on.
This song will stay with us until the end of the days, I promise you.

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”-Philippians 4:13
❤️
“I waited patiently for the LORD;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the LORD.”-psalm 40:1-3
Your loved!❤️
Accually it's "You're loved," but still this is cool, with or without good spelling.
May the Lord be with you.
Maybe now the world is not going through its best stage, but always thanking God for giving me the opportunity to be in this wonderful world
Amazingly said Amen🙏🏽
Amen 🙏 ❤
The song and especially the instrumental is crazy 🔥
Today is my first day in my new school. After 9 years of friendship, i have to let my friends go. But i will take every one of them in my memories and personality. The world is wonderful and full of wonderful people
I had similar problem after I went to high school. My friends also all went to different schools. But we are in contact, we are organising meetings and other stuff ( obviously not now). Even if everyone of us is working in different place we manage to find some time.
Totally agree with you!
Hope everything is alright with you in the new school
@@nivk9445 hey, it actually is! I've made new friends, and i am now a more social person. I'm grateful for them, as well as i am for the previous friends
Best song ever.
