Quick tutorial on how to fix an Electrolux Washer Dryer Washing Machine that is not drying properly. Applies to model EWW7524ADWA and many more Electrolux Washer Dryer Washing Machine.
somehow karma was at work today when my wife found your video - we were ripped off 2 days ago by an emergency locksmith - but today we fixed the problem cos of your excellent and generous sharing of your knowledge!! thanks so much! (btw. our model was an Electrolux EWW12753 7.5kg Washer 4.5kg Dryer Combo)
Thanks Mr Washy Washy, this fixed my problem. I have an Electrolux Ultimate Care 800 wash & dry model that has already required fixing once by a technician. The technician used crimp sleeves to rejoin the wires, and zip-tied the wire to the original anchor point (it failed again after a dozen wash cycles). I tried a crimp sleeve but the wires are a little too thin for a good join, I recommend soldering as Mr Washy Washy does. And definitely attach the wires to main loom and not the dryer manifold, that manifold shakes a lot!
You were spot-on the problem! In my case The cables were clean cut. The manufacturer added some extra Orange tape to fix The issue, but clearly wasn't enough. It's a pitty that Electrolux knew about the problem but didn't bother to fix it. My washer broke 2 months after The warranty expire. Thank you a lot! Keep up The good work!
Thanks for the straightforward video! Just checked the wires, but in my machine the last ~20 cm before the sensor is made out of a more durable, thicker pair of wires. This might be a sort of improvement from the manufacturer in the later models. The ziptie wasn't too tight, the wires were intact, so the problem seems to be with something else. Any more suggestions?
Great video, thank you. I have this same washer throwing an E40 (Door not closed). I've replaced the door latch/sensor and it worked once, but i suspect the error code needs resetting. How does one reset the error code?
Thank you for your video, I looked at the wires in mine and after taking the tape off, they were cut clean through. However, I dropped the end of the wires and now am not sure which wire went to which plug on the barrel. I don't see any markings to indicate anything like positive/negative, does it matter which wire goes on which end?
Hi Mr Washy Washy, thank you for great instructional video. I have the same exact model and is too having issues with clothes drying. The clothes come out extremely damp. The heater does heart up. At some point in the drying cycle. I can see water being introduced into the drum. I wonder you have any suggestions of what the problem is? Thank you
Just to pin point the issue further, I set the machine to Daily 60 mode with only dry selected. After the spin at about the 4h20m left on the clock, water can be seen flowing in through the soap tray. The water pools at the bottom of the drum making the clothes wet. The first time this issue occurred there was an error code that point to a faulty temperature sensor at the back of the machine. After the sensor was replaced the dryer function worked fine for a few washes then stopped working with no error code.
Hello Mr washy washy! I have this model Electrolux washer/dryer.. I seem to have two problems.. I have heat on the dryer assembly but I believe the fan is busted.. secondly when washing on hot wash it doesn't seem to be heating up.. so possibly the water heat element.. both pretty straightforward.. anything I can do to confirm before I buy the parts I need?
Im not sure if I imagined it or if I accidentally hit the setting but I did a hot wash on Cottons setting @90 degree C and on drain water was as cold as my water into the unit.. I set on 90 but came out halfway through the cycle and the temp light was on cold.. does the unit have a way to revert back or is that a sign of something?
I found a cut (not fully through) in that same wire. Had a go at fixing it, but still seems like there is no heat whatsoever. Any other suggestions? I tested all those other sensors and they seemed OK (though first time using a multi meter haha)
Hi. Mine is not drying. There's heat, tested drain pipe & its working fine. Blow fan working fine. But when drying clothes, theres no water collected & the clothes are still damp, only a lil bit warm. Still cant find out whats wrong
Our Electrolux EWW1042ADWA had one wire broken clean through and the other starting to break. Saved us from buying a new machine.
Thank you.

Unplugging it for a couple hours usually does the trick.

Sorry I haven’t come across that issue on this one. Check and make sure there is power at that PowerPoint just to be sure

Yes either something is blocking inside like fluff. So I would say open it and see whats inside
