Vianney, I totally appreciate all your tips in saving paper. We are all hoarders of our beautiful paper. Anna is there to sell product so she wants us to use more. I never think you are cheaping out on the project. There is a saying in our world of crafting, "If you don't see it, then it doesn't have to be there." Cut it out and use it on something else and make the product go farther. It's not cheap stuff. I have to keep putting in my head when I don't want to use the paper is, I don't see it when it is all packed away so why not use it on a beautiful project so when I go back and look at it, I can appreciate the beauty of the paper. You did a wonderful job!

I didn’t get the exact papers cut because I wasn’t sure which ones to pull… but it didn’t seem to matter as everything goes so well together! I was glad that I fully prepared before class and I finished most of the layouts. I will be able to finish them tonight 💕 I wasn’t to sure about the bows on class 2, my husband loved them 😂 so I added them.

We know Anna’s papers, etc. are gorgeous. Btw, I watched your video for the 2nd time last night for Carte Homme. You were not into it. But, if it wasn’t for you, I couldn’t have made a card, no instructions. I made/gave it to a friend to give her hubby. It was a ‘thank you’ gift. She loved it! So, TY! I love Anna designs but am also not a fan of the overdone styles of the cards and pages of her design team. Thank you for showing us your less fussy design style. Just as beautiful and less confusing to the eye. 😃

In case Vianney isn't able to get back to you right away, I thought I would respond to you. The green mat is an inexpensive self-healing craft mat. You would just use it to cut into. It helps to save your magnetic mat or cutting plates. I've found them at Hobby Lobby and sometimes Walmart. If you have a Magic Mat, it's the same principle.
Hi Vianney, I ❤watching your videos. I have a question about the black cutting mat you are using on this video...What brand and where can i find it?? I am wanting something, like yours, that you can see the measurements on the outside when using a 12x12 paper. A lot that I have found have all measurements within the 12x12 inches which defeats the purpose if you have your scrapbook paper covering it. Appreciate any help you can give.
This was a little bit ago, but if it's a smaller square mat that has extra couple inches around...it's probably my Close to my Heart cutting mat. They are going out of business, but maybe it's still available. I don't sell it anymore, but I think you can buy straight from their site. TYSM!

It's just the same sandwich, two cutting plates, metal shim and this self-healing mat. Just basically switch out the magnetic mat for this mat.

BTW, if you use these craft mats, you would probably need to adjust the thickness of your sandwich. Not all of the mats are the same thickness.
