Thanks for this, it's so much fun to watch. The baseball all-star game was the best of all the major sports back in the days when they played in the daytime, didn't have all the sideshows, and the big stars played most if not all of the game and played to win. It has become such a joke now that it's unwatchable. Many big stars opt out, the 2nd tier of stars only play the first 3 innings and by the time you get to the 9th inning you have Jim Nobody pitching to Bob Nobody with the game on the line (and for a while home field advantage in the WS was also on the line)
Thankfully they got rid of the winning league, determining World Series home field advantage. A few years ago it was changed to the team with the best winning percentage.
If we still have a country (Marxist, Commie bastards doing ALL the can to destroy it!!!!!) in 50 years, we can look back at the current All Stars and probably ask the same question
💯 He was always one of those players people wished was on their team. Joe Torre has a great story about this game and Gibson's competitive nature. th-cam.com/video/OxaDgWb0wQQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9gY2bCLNXUltUI7h
Neither manager was involved in the '64 World Series due to pilots of both Cards and Yanks out of their jobs. Small consolation for Mauch smarting from the Phils epic collapse. Keep showing the leftfield stands (withch Vikings added and payed for with reduced rent), did Cal Griffith want that?
Good game. Bob Gibson with the big save at the end.
My God! What a lineup ! Truly Allstars. Enjoyed every moment of it. Thanks , it was great !

Classic game.
Mays, Banks, Stargell, Clemente, Robinson (2), Kaline, Killebrew, Marichal... what do we get now?

In 1960. Allstars game. Every player is in hall of fame. Now maybe 3 might make it . Trout , Otani and Aaron Judge the only 3
@@GeorgeYoung-co3rr Freddie Freeman
THANKS 500MILL UPLOADER!!!!!!!!!
Marichal and Bob Gibson were both good hitting pitchers.
Killabrew
my favorite pastime is the best home town player in the bigs I'm from Idaho
Gibson might have been the toughest competitor in any sport ever.
