People might not be able to see it, unless they’re literally breaking it down step by step, but the game still is waaaaaaaaaaaay too heavily catered to campers or people who only feint attacks to open up your oppponent. if you notice even when people seem to be aggressive it’s really fake feints. this game still rewards you for not attacking and waiting for the opponent to Wiff. No clue how they can fix it , but if this games supposed to be melees successor, being aggressive and reading your opponent needs to be more rewarding than camping and waiting for your opponent to wiff. Luckily no one plays like Hungry box jiggs or else this would be the worst game to watch lol, hopefully since it’s supposed to be melees successor they fix it and get it closer and closer to the Goldielocks zone. other wise when I actually enter a tourney ima run the time out to prove a point. hopefully mango doesn’t hate me lmaoooo
commentators need to understand that platforms aren’t in rannos favor. Just because wee can do fancy movements doesn’t mean shit. We get comboed and can get hit out of most movement on platforms. Generally it’s not great to go to hodojo, it’s very matchup specific
I think it's the added lag on whif, lack of shield pressure for most characters, l-cancel was a execution test for shield pressure in melee so no canceling here AND moves that are safe on shield would make things more aggressive for sure, but would it be better then what we have now?
@ facts! It’s really hard to say whether it would be better than what we have now, but I do think if it’s easier to do it should be easier to punish. Some moves/tech in this game is so easy to pull off there’s no reason to rely on anything else. If camping/non interactive play wasn’t mind numbing and boring to be I would just adopt the play style. But it’s not for me, I guess the best way would be to add more hitstun on shield and give less less frames to certain defensive techs. I’m not a game designer so I have no clue how they should fix it. Another issue is character weights, it doesn’t seem to influence how combos work, that seems to just be based on characters size lol, fatter champs just easier to combo whether or not they’re supposed to be considered “floaty”. Sorry for the word salad, I’m drunk n high and enjoying life 😂😂 I hope my rambling made sense
@@KeyleeMai I'm not a game designer either, but I do think having characters have at least one aerial that can land on sheild, fastfalled and timed properly, you should be able to get a jab out to beat sheild grab, like falcon knee Jab or stomp jab, I never see this interaction in rivals but it's a constant in melee. In this game it's like the only way to pressure shield is zetter dair shine, some foresburn clone stuff we never see, or just cross up shield, and the latter is what we see over and over in this game. Wanna attack a shield? Better cross it up almost every time
damn ant did really well coming back. good shit to both players though. can't wait to see sol play sylvannos when he releases
Torn between rooting for characters I like and wanting them to do poorly so they get buffs
@@NoTAP3435 same here. I'm a fleet player and I'm glad cake dropped her. Whichever char cake assault is maining will never be buffed.

if I’m reading you and know your next move, I shouldn’t be punished for reading it and being the aggressor
