What's interesting too about this live version of the song is that it's different from the album version. The original song is shorter, the outro is only about 2 minutes long, and Joe doesn't sing during the bridge. Part of the appeal of this live performance comes from Joe throwing the "I saw....I saw monsters" lyrics on the bridge rather than later. It changes radically the song dynamics. And then of course, the extended outro with the double-bass craziness from Mario.
Not sure if this was mentioned in a previous video of yours, but fun fact: Joe Duplantier (singer and guitarist for Gojira) played bass on the first Cavalera Conspiracy album... incidentally, the very shirt you're wearing!
Mario (the drummer) is a freaking beast on the drums. Definitely one of my favorite drummers. I would love it if you reacted to "Toxic Garbage Island" by them next.
Hi ! I really think you could fall in love with their recent stuff. I suggest the official videos of Low Lands, or The Shooting Star. The first one is an tribute to their mother, very moving. More progressive, more clean singing, but intense as hell. Keep up the good work ! Best regards from France.

If you want to listen "Flying Whales" live you need the intro of the song like on the album. Because live they don't play the intro, except on this year tour. There's no intro on the Brixton Dvd 2013. The song is complete on: Fest Class Eurock 2006 DVD
Fun fact: In a interview (not sure which one I’ve watched a lot) Joe and Mario both state that the majority of the time they listen to classical music, and can’t really explain why they do metal; whilst laughing. They are my favorite band to date. Also, Mario is a great painter- he sells his art. They are all wonderful and fucking TALENTED gentlemen. Great review. ☺️
