    Question of the day: Do you think this saw needs a storage hook? Would you hook up a dust collector to this saw while using it? How often do you make bevel cuts with a circular saw?

    • @dmanbigd1
      @dmanbigd1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A hook is convenient but not essential. I would hook up the dust collector inside the house. A far as bevel cuts, not too often. Keep up the good work.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I agree with those replies. My old circular saw that I've used the most in my lifetime doesn't have a hook. I wouldn't complain if it had one though, lol.

    Very complete review of this saw. It has a lot of features that appeals to me. Light weight. LED lights. 2.0 AMP battery with fuel in full view. built in allen wrench. dust port accessory. All i all seems like a perfect saw for me especially for me because of the arthritis in my hands. Again, a very good review of this tool. I'm on my way to Home Depot!

    New to woodworking. Most reviews assume you know how to operate. Read the manual but got lost in the jargon. Your awesome video saved the day. I am happy to spend xtra for the quality feel I experience with the Makita subcompact cordless tools. Thanks again.

    Never bought a saw and not received a rip fence included, and I own this saw also, to go to 50degrees there is a lever you must turn first of all, the rafter hook can be bought separately, there is 2 screw holes near the front that the hook fixes too, part number is (Makita 199231-7) great review btw👌🏼✨💚🙏

    Excellent review. In UK, Europe, South Africa and Australia I’m fairly certain this is called the Makita DHS660. Great little saw by the look of it in this review. Good advice about using the lighter battery: for most home projects the 2Ah battery will do the trick. Thank you 👍🏻

    Your review of this Makita 6-1/2" blade right circular saw is the best one on youtube by far. Gave you a thumbs up.
    Have one question though. Holding the saw with the right hand and looking from the left side of the blade, can you see the cut line on the wood and how the blade will address the cut line? In other words, see the cut line without having to lean over the saw to look at the right side of the blade?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The saw has a nice LED light the brightens up the are where the blade hits the wood. If I'm using the saw, the guide on the front of the saw os one of the best to help you follow the line that you're cutting. If you want to see the area where the blade is actually cutting the line, then you can see it through an opening on the left side. You can lean all the way over to the right side to see it too. This is one of my favorite circular saws. I keep it in the big box of my Milwaukee Packout system.

    Really like the amount of money details you put in the review. Thanks! I have a question though. Roughly how many many cuts or how much runtime do you get from the 2A battery? Do you use 2A batteries for other tools?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, I haven't done a runtime test on the 2Ah battery. If I have a fully charged spare, I can use the saw for a longer amount of time than it takes to charge another battery. Hope that helps. Someday, I'll start doing a battery runtime test video.
