    Very good of Brilliant Classics to have brought this unknown composer and his music to light. I'd never heard of Luchesi, and the quality of these sonatas make me wonder how many other neglected composers have yet to be rediscovered and enjoyed by today's listeners.

    The same way I enjoy reading books, I enjoy listening to músic. It doesn't matter who wrote the book AND from where the music comes, but to listen AND to enjoy it. Thanks a lot for posting this great music. God Bless you all.

    Leopold and Amadeus taught the students using scores: Andrea Luca Luchesi (1741-1801) - Piano Concerto in F, Piano Sonata Nº 1 in G Op. 1 ..... In, for example, the "F" concert - we hear - Mozart and Beethoven. The great, forgotten Luchesi. Thank you Brilliant Classics.

      Thanks for pointing that out.i cant understand fully why i love his music so much and i cant listen to other classical composers too long.his music can be so beautiful,joyful ,almost perfect and from these sonatas ,can have a darkness seriousness to them .and he has a way of playing the keyboard.i never enjoy the greats like mozart,haydn,beethoven or scarlatti like that

    Lovely classical piano music, comparable to those composed by greatest masters of Viennese classic. Lucchesi was one of musical teachers of young Beethoven in Bonn, and a great admirer of Mozart's compositions of the day, skilled musician of his time, able to fulfill various demands for music according to conventions of those days, such as composing the opera, prepare performances of Mozart concerts and symphonies or even conduct them and so on. Auguri a maestro Roberto Plano per riscoprire e suonare questi brani piacevoli! Bravo!

  • @gnzanivan
    @gnzanivan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Lucchesi, chiamato a Bonn per ravvivare la vita musicale, finì col subentrare al defunto nonno di Beethoven nella carica di Kapellmeister, escludendo così da tale carica il padre di Ludwig van Beethoven stesso. Per la famiglia Beethoven questo fu un vero dramma, perché veniva a mancare un reddito sicuro. E' ovvio che il giovane Beethoven abbia nutrito un forte risentimento per tutta la vita nei confronti di Lucchesi, negando con forza di aver mai avuto un maestro. Resta tuttavia alla storia che il giovane faceva parte del complesso musicale per il quale Lucchesi componeva e che dirigeva. E' ovvio che Ludwig crebbe in quella scuola musicale e certamente ne venne influenzato. Magari non ricevette personali lezioni sistematiche dal Kapellmeister, ma ne assorbiva anche inconsciamente l'influenza. Poi Beethoven farà la sua strada e diventerà un gigante della musica. Ma Lucchesi sicuramente seminò bene. Questi concerti sono deliziose prove di fantasia e capacità compositive, naturalmente in uno stile rococò, leggero e incipriato, per certi versi vicino al giovane Mozart. Ma non mancano dei momenti riflessivi e drammatici.

    • @stymphalikos
      @stymphalikos 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Beethoven non negò mai, né con forza né senza forza, di avere avuto UN maestro; anzi parla di Neefe, Haydn e Albrechtsberger come suoi maestri. Il "forte risentimento" e l'influenza assorbita "anche inconsciamente" sono chiacchiere ad uso di psicologi e portinaie. E pure il "rococò leggero e incipriato" devi averlo pescato nel libretto dell'_Andrea Chénier_.
