One could be fined/ticket for any of those. Also, it was late and a little dark so he could have not seen any random people or car popping out of nowhere. It's hard enough trying to drive through big cities such as Barcelona, Madrid or Valencia, without getting lost, let alone someone that doesn't have wifi or know the languuage boosted boards are quite rare in Spain too (Sorry for my grammar and the long text)
