@@zacharyarakawa2401 No helmet (you could be fined for not wearing it), going in the middle of the road without protection, over the speed limit (I think right now it's 20-25 km/h max for electric scooter/boards), not going in the designated trails ... One could be fined/ticket for any of those. Also, it was late and a little dark so he could have not seen any random people or car popping out of nowhere. It's hard enough trying to drive through big cities such as Barcelona, Madrid or Valencia, without getting lost, let alone someone that doesn't have wifi or know the languuage boosted boards are quite rare in Spain too (Sorry for my grammar and the long text)

Just an FYI in case you or anyone else doesn't know already, but the RLOD is most likely because the battery cells got out of balance after not being used/charged in 2 years. The battery is still salvageable, though it requires some technical expertise in getting it to work again. There's an amnesia chip mod that resets the RLOD status of the board and allows you to charge your board again, so if you're handy and can get the amnesia chip (or someone who can do it for you), you can get the board working again. It's recommended that to prevent RLOD, depending on the battery firmware you have, you need to leave the board on a charger for an extended period of time (2 weeks is normally recommended) so the cells can fully balance.
@@ELLIOTCHOY That's a bummer, but at least you'll have a donor board for extra parts. The RLOD issue really sucks because it's bound to happen eventually, so keeping it charged when not in use to balance the cells is kinda the best way to prevent it atm.

I would honestly get a new board to be honest. Boosted out of business with no further support. Would highly recommend Backfire or Exway as they improve further from the boosted and have very similar designs and specs.

sad to see boosted go out several years back. i was a huge boosted supporter and had like 3 boards at one point. When boosted went under, there was no way the boards would survive without the company. So I sold all my equipment. Made a decent amount of money back. Though, really glad to see people still are repping boosted.

One thing I've realized about you after watching a couple of your videos is that you're a very lucky dude. Not only do the events of the particular video prove this true but also how you started your channel, how you made a viral video which literally pushed your channel to the limelight and the over million subscribers you already have in just a few years. Infact it's not just luck, it's favour, you may not realize this yet but you will soon enough.
As someone who have ride a skateboard once in my life, probably 10-15 years ago seeing an electric skateboard that goes 25-30mph seems scary, lol. Happy to see that you've managed to fix it. Being an European, i don't really see these often around here, i didn't even know such thing exist before watching you and Kelly. It's mind boggling how this thing costs about freaking 2000$ and you can't even send it back for repair, since obviouslly you have to fix them yourself. Or at the very least buy a new battery. Isn't there any DIY solution? Crack it open and find aftermarket battery perhaps or it uses proprietary/patented battery design that can't be found elsewhere?
Elliot there are tons of other electric skateboard brands with much higher build quality and far cheaper than boosted board. I'd recommend, Verreal RS Pro with cloud wheels, it's a bit heavier, but has 35 mile+ REAL range, and 32+ top speed, much faster acceleration, much better carve and feel compared to a boosted board, and the cloud wheels will soak up all of NYC's crappy streets so it feels buttery smooth, and it's only like $1200... I've had a few different boards and have tried a ton of my friends boards, and boosted boards. It's just much better.
this was originally why i started watching was for the boosted board. then i see you in NYC which was a bonus. hell yeah. btw the boosted guys took over boosted board inventory and are kind of the go to for parts and buying boards

The door knob is in the middle because it locks both sides of the door...safety in unsafe locations...helps keep people from kicking in the door.
