IF YOU CANT READ/WRITE FROM/TO CONTROLLER: at about 6:00 he explains it. "DO NOT HAVE HAVE ANY DAW, OR SYNTH, OR ANYTHING THAT WILL READ FROM YOUR MIDI CONTROLLER RUNNING, EVEN IN BACKGROUND, WHILE TRYING TO EDIT A CONTROLLER LIKE THIS." It worked fine with messaging apps and chrome open. I didn't turn off my interface which has it's own MIDI I/O. but it DID work again once I closed my DAW. ALSO, this includes exiting out of any GUITAR editors (bias FX, Line 6, amplitube, axe FX) as they use MIDI input from similar types of controllers. this also includes KONTAKT, Roland Editors, Chery Audio Voltage, other modular synth alternatives. Do not be running any East West OPUS or Play editors either. Do not have ANY adobe, or 3d animation products open either, as you can use MIDI controllers on all of them.
Thank you very much! The question that I’ve such many videos on this to find out whether you can assign them to any parameter on your plug-in, or within your DAW. You answered
Thx Vatche! Dude... I dunno how many times I've needed to know something about something I've bought, I come to youtube to get more info and bang! there you are!! LOL. Have a good one mate.
in Reaper , there is a nice option (when assigning a controler) that will keep the fader inactive , until it reach the value you set before closing your project , so there is less chance to loose your adjustments...
Thank you for this video!. Bought SubZero midi controller (which is simply a rebrand) to use with the GSi Gemini sound module. Before watching this video, confusion and disappointment when trying to use editor. After watching, enlightenment and successful connection! :-) The only thing I found, for anyone wanting to use the faders as drawbars, is that you can't reverse the CC value range so that 127 is at the bottom and 0 at the top. (Well you can, but they just send 127 for all positions). Apart from that, works fine, and has enough buttons, knobs and faders to work well with the Gemini
Can I please get tutorial on how to setup the worlde easy control.9 with sliders and everything workin on daw? its so confusing and my back is killing me trying to figure it out. thanks to this video i only got the buttons to stay on. "toggle" mode. the rest won't work im going to return this thing in 3 days if i cant figure it out. please make a video. or explain to me. i have cakewalk and protools. alo using windows 10 on my desktop and windows 11 on laptop,
to stop the faders jumping all over the place, use soft take over if available. That way the fader on the controller won't change the fader in the software until it reaches the same value, so there are no jumps in levels
Great video and detailed explanation. Appreciate what you've done. I've got one of these coming friday. Im using Studio one, and gonna use the GSI vb3 with it. Great sounding vst :-)
Just got this to use with the GSi Gemini (basically a hardware VB3). It all works fine (thanks to this video for how to connect editor!). The only thing I found was that you can't reverse the fader range to work as drawbars. I.e. You can't set range of 0 at top to 127 at bottom. They just send 127 for all positions then. Did you find the same?
So glad for your video. Mine just arrived days after I returned another cheap Chinese product which was faulty, so I was a little suspicious that mine was broken because nothing seemed to be happening when I tried to read or write to the device. I didn't know that I had to hit "OK", because the loading bar at 0% suggested that perhaps it was just being slow or maybe it wasn't detecting the device at all. The UI could be improved, and the English, but that's the trade off for a cheap alternative, and it does work well and has more advantages over the NanoKontrol2 for me anyway.
Thanks for this video, it helped me configure this controller on my Mac. You're right about needing to quit all other MIDI-related software, for example I couldn't send the scene data (save the config) if I had Apple's built-in "Audio MIDI Setup" program running. Also, saving the data takes about 8 seconds, with no progress bar shown. UPDATE: I got this controller working nicely and wrote up some instructions here: docs.google.com/document/d/1qb32gp6DmddetlsyDZCmQniO0K5FWsGFpoUxqNNuu1Q/edit?usp=sharing
Great Clip thanks, my software & easy control 9 won't talk to each other and when I send data it won't give me the are you sure yes or no button option and naturally at this time it does not function in Reaper. However, I did have my DAW plugged in I will now unplug & try again. with the controller set up. Hopefully having better luck.
Does it work on scenes 3 and 4 ? Mine only works with what has been defined in the editor software for scenes 1 and 2. Edited scenes 3 and 4 can be sent and downloaded again, they look good on the software window, but the controller sends incorrect messages or has incorrect button hehaviors on scenes 3 and 4 (tested with editor and MIDI-OX on Windows 7 x32 then 10 x64).
Hey Vatche, great video as always! I haven't noticed this before, but in this video there is a fair amount of noise while you speak (The "in between" moments are quiet/gated out)... Your "snake in the studio" video sounds fine, so there's something different about this setup. You might already know about the issue, but I thought I'd mention it just in case. Cheers!
Yes, you are correct, and it took me twice as long to clean it. LOL. I used my RODE tie-clip mic, instead of the on-board mics of my ZOOM Q4. RODE tie-clip works really great with my iPhone, but not with my ZOOM Q4 camera. Not sure why. (Yes, I do have the RODE TRRS to TRS adapter, otherwise the tie-clip mic does not work at all).
That's funny, I was just about to comment that the voice track sounded better than usual. I'm on laptop speakers so I'm not exactly listening critically. But I like the tone of the lavalier mic much better than the camera mic.
Hi Watche, thanks for the video. I have two Windows 7 computers, an old laptop and a newer PC. On the old one I cannot communicate at all using 'send' and 'read scene data', it says 'Device isn't exist'. on the newer one it works. Interestingly, Ableton Live 8 on the laptop recognizes the Easy as 'W-Fader', as does the newer PC. What's wrong with the laptop, which I erased completely and re-installed Windows 7 Ultimate. Another Question: This device can be used not only with a DAW but also in order to control a synth or a sound expander. My sound expander has more than 127 sounds arranged in banks: Bank 0, 1, 2, 10 and Bank 67 for the drawbar organ. These banks usually have an LSB and a MSB but only the LSB ist used. How can I access these banks with the EasyControl ? 3rd question: How do I use the big control knob? Does it change the program of the currently selected track in a DAW? Thank you
After six hours of manual set up, I got this working fully using 16 channels on Cubase 9.5.21 Win7pro 64bit, though I am pretty sure that it will all work on Win 10 also. I have volume faders, pannings, track solo, and rec+play+stop+ff+rew+loop & selecting between ch 1-8 or 9-16. You need to configure manually the Controller as well as your DAW (a generic remote). Luckily all these settings can be exported to files, I wouldn't want to do this many times. -Anyway, a neat little thing this is. :)
I bought the plugger poket control wich is rhe same thing. But it seems to have a problem with the programming of the third bank. I have also changed with another but the third bank not changed the programs. Did you had the same problem?
Can we please have a setup tutorial for fl studio? I bought your product, and I already use an AKAI MPK MINI2 and still believe this will be a nice addition to the home studio. Thanks in advance sir.
Please I would like need advice. I cannot install my controllers in Ableton. But with my different recording software working with my controlles. I use my Devine EZ-Creator Fade Controller and also my Devine EZ-Creator Pad Controller. How I can find it way with works my conrollers with Ableton ?
Thanks for your review. One question: Does the editor software support programming of MIDI SysEx (System Exclusive) messages to the sliders, knobs and buttons, in addition to MIDI CC and Note values?
I just received this unit today and installed the editor. Here's the options I'm seeing: * Sliders 1-9 and knobs 1-9 are only for CCs (0-127) * Buttons 1-9 can be for CCs (0-127) or note (C0 to B8), momentary or toggle * The MIDI channel can be set per control group 1-9 (control group = knob + slider + button in a column), to 1-16 or global, or per scene (1-16) * The two mod buttons in the lower left (next to the bank LEDs) can be set to CC or note, momentary or toggle * The six transport buttons (loop, rewind, FF, stop, play, and rec) have a shared MIDI channel (1-16 or global) and can send either CC or MMC messages I haven't tested whether all of this works, I'm just reporting what I'm seeing in the editor as options.
Looks very neat and handy, but when I download the software it seems like the dj-fader on the left side is not able to edit in terms of CC number and values. Why? And what is it predetermined to send?
Friend but after I do all the configuration in the Control edition app ... How do I assign sounds to each pad? or what software do I use to assign sounds to each pad? Help Friend Thanks!
One comment about connecting and disconnecting things from the computer to avoid interactions... Although it may sound extravagant, the eassiest, best, and overall most affordable solution is to use a separate computer for doing things like updating hardware firmware, working with external devices, etc. I can't count the number of times I have fucked things up over the past 20 years or so trying to allow my DAW computer to do other things than work as a DAW (I'm talking about interacting wit music hardware, not using the internet or typing a Word letter). For this purpose, I purchased an older (about 13 years old) Lenovo notebook on eBay for about $50. It has a mechanical HDD, 2GB of free DRAM, and is pretty small and light. It has USB ports, and that's all you really need. So, now when my Prophet needs a firmware update, I download it to the laptop and carry the laptop to the Prophet. I then disconnect the USB to DAW connection and connect the laptop. No problems, no confusion and no interactions. For $50 (the price of this cheap controller), you get peace of mind and an almost unfuckable way of updating, changing drivers, etc!
both of the links to download the driver appear to be corrupt. The easycontrol software is telling me my controller doesn't exist ((although the windows device manager and my daw both recognize it) and my DAW isn't receiving control messages of any kind. Help!

Hi! First of all thanks, clear and smart video. I have a question. I set the controller as demonstrated in this video, but still does not work with my DAW (fruity loops). I already set up midi options in the software (FL) but it does not work. Any issues? Please.
I have not downloaded the software on my laptop because I wanted to use it was a controller connected to my iPad. I have all the connections to make this work and it does but I am having a problem with ringing notes? Sometimes at random notes will sustain and ring until I have to change the patch or the sound I am using. Do you think it's becaueee I did not download the software first? The Light does go on and every thing is working except the ringing notes. Would you know how I can fix this?
I am not sure what I am doing different/wrong, but I cannot get the Control Editor to send or receive scenes. I make sure it is the only MIDI device. The program just hangs when I try to send or receive the settings. The controller does work but I am trying to use the control groups on effects and use the buttons for on/off so I am trying to change them from momentary to toggle. I am running Windows 10. BandLab/Cakewalk works fine with the controller; I set can't easily turn effects off and on without using the mouse. MIDI-OX works fine. If I could find the info to generate a sysex file to change all the buttons to toggle, I would just do that. Any suggestions?
my easykey 25's knob is sending pitch bend signals? its unusable and there is no way to change what type of signal the knob sends? Anyone else having this isse?
Hi Vatche! great video man! I have some question relating to setting up midi controller and I hope you can help shed some light! So I'm having a midi Fighter Twister which features rotary knobs and I'm using it to control my plugin parameters in Studio one 3 which I'm sure you're very familiar with. My problem relates to my work flow. I'm constantly switching between different projects and the Figher Twister doesn't update the plugin values its being assigned to (via midi learn in Studio one 3). This mess up my sessions because the Figher Twister remember its last position, not plugin values change. I know that you dont have this unit, but maybe you know a way to send back the midi value to the midi controller in Studio one 3? thank you Vatche!
Hi, I have enjoyed several of your videos. I have this device and I'm curious how to set function (toggle/momentary on the button in the top L corner. It is set to momentary and I want toggle. There doesn't seem to be a way to do that in the software. Do you know how? It's the button to the left of the large silver knob on the Left. Just above the horizontal slider. Thanks!
It seems you can't configure the horizontal slider, the endless silver knob, or the two buttons either side of it. But they do all send MIDI messages (as verified using MIDI Monitor on Mac): - knob: program change 1 (far left) to 128 (far right) - slider: CC 9 from 0 (far left) all the way up to 127 (far right), although it won't always reach those values if you slide it too fast - L button: CC 69 at 127 when pressed and 0 when released - R button: CC 64 at 127 when pressed and 0 when released Interestingly (or revealingly), the BANK button also sends MIDI messages, being a Korg-specific SysEx with one of the bytes being the zero-based bank number (i.e. 00, 01, 02, or 03). I wonder if this is so you can daisy-chain multiple of these units together and have them all change bank in sync with each other.
I have the clone from PyleUSA but I can't seem to find the editors for either. In fact it appears both websites are 404. Any Idea how I can get this thing working? Setup has a been a nightmare.
Im having trouble with it on Logic Pro 10 . The faders have a mind of their own. When im setting them up. everything seems to be fine, But then they all get muddled up and its useless .
@@RecordingStudio9 i use reaper but i don't even get to that. In Easy Control Editor, when i want to Send Scene Data, it's says : Device isn't exist. There is no other Midi device on my computer. In Device Manager it;s recognized as USB audio device and that says: STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR and i can't update the driver
The nine vertical faders seem to be mappable to any CC message, and you can specify the max and min values from 0-127 (although I suspect not the polarity of the fader). So you can control anything that's controllable via CCs. Not sure if this includes pitch bend for your instrument, the MIDI spec seems to have a separate (non-CC) message type for pitch bend.
IF YOU CANT READ/WRITE FROM/TO CONTROLLER: at about 6:00 he explains it. "DO NOT HAVE HAVE ANY DAW, OR SYNTH, OR ANYTHING THAT WILL READ FROM YOUR MIDI CONTROLLER RUNNING, EVEN IN BACKGROUND, WHILE TRYING TO EDIT A CONTROLLER LIKE THIS."

With VB3II and with B-3X the drawbar action is reversible in the program. IDK about earlier versions of VB3.

* Buttons 1-9 can be for CCs (0-127) or note (C0 to B8), momentary or toggle

BandLab/Cakewalk works fine with the controller; I set can't easily turn effects off and on without using the mouse. MIDI-OX works fine. If I could find the info to generate a sysex file to change all the buttons to toggle, I would just do that. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the comments, but unfortunately, I don't have any further details. Might want to try to contact the manufacturer.
@@RecordingStudio9 Did you see my other question? Does it retain settings if powered off? If so, I may try programming it on a different computer.
Hi, do you know if the company still supporting this device? I'm looking for newer Mac (Apple Silicon or Rosetta) drivers and editor.
It supposed to be plug-n-play device, so no drivers required. As to the editing app, sorry, no clue. Check the manufacturer’s website.
FWIW, the editor is working for me on macOS 13.4 on an Intel 2019 MBP.
my easykey 25's knob is sending pitch bend signals? its unusable and there is no way to change what type of signal the knob sends? Anyone else having this isse?
How do you assign the faders to the device as a Mac user running Logic Pro X
Sorry, I don’t have Logic Pro X
Hi, your videos are awesome.... I have a question, can I use it as mod wheel?
If your DAW supports MIDI devices and allows for MIDI CC messages to control things, then yes.
Hi Vatche!
great video man!
Just make sure that when you setup the MIDI device in External Devices in Studio One, you have selected the Fighter Twister for both MIDI in and out.
Does it work with FL studio?? And virtual dj?
Pls reply it's urgent
Yes it is
Hi, I have enjoyed several of your videos. Thanks!
If it's not available in the software, then, it's not possible to set, like the main big "scroll" knob.
thanks
It seems you can't configure the horizontal slider, the endless silver knob, or the two buttons either side of it. But they do all send MIDI messages (as verified using MIDI Monitor on Mac):
- knob: program change 1 (far left) to 128 (far right)
- slider: CC 9 from 0 (far left) all the way up to 127 (far right), although it won't always reach those values if you slide it too fast
- L button: CC 69 at 127 when pressed and 0 when released
- R button: CC 64 at 127 when pressed and 0 when released
Interestingly (or revealingly), the BANK button also sends MIDI messages, being a Korg-specific SysEx with one of the bytes being the zero-based bank number (i.e.
Did you try to download it from my website? Link in the description
The link to download the editor for this doesn't seem to be working anymore, does anyone have a copy of the editor you could send me, please?
Works fine for me for the complete list of software. Direct link PC: www.worlde.com.cn/static/upload/other/20210318/1616045142903072.zip
@@RecordingStudio9 thanks! 🙏
Does it lose all your settings if it is powered off?
I believe no, I think it saves them, but I'm not 100% sure as I haven't used it for a long time.
I have a couple of faders sending or receive the same number. How can I change that?
Use the editor software to change or reassign them.
How fader in easy control 9 with logicprox? Thanks
I don't have Logic Pro X to test.
Im having trouble with it on Logic Pro 10 . The faders have a mind of their own. When im setting them up. everything seems to be fine, But then they all get muddled up and its useless .

How to install the driver for Windows 10? Can't get it to work or recognized on my pc
Did you even watch the video in full? Watch it again.
@@RecordingStudio9 i did but you don't tell how to let the pc recognize the device
Which DAW or software you are trying to use with? It does not need any driver as it's compliant USB device.
@@RobinhoGuitarCovers I have the same question... any solution?
Does anyone know where I can find a compatible driver for this for win 10?
It's USB compliant, no driver. Editor www.worlde.com.cn/list_20_2/
Kindly Is this thing programmable?
Yes, using the software provided, you can set MIDI CC codes. Here is my original video with software demo th-cam.com/video/2orrQprX2ZQ/w-d-xo.html
can the faders be mapped to function as modulation and pitch wheel?
This all depends on the DAW being used and if it supports it.
It work with vanbasco player???
I don't think so.
If only you could remap the rotary knob from sending channel program change messages.
Would I be able to get this to work on Garageband?
Let me know if you can, as I don't have GarageBand
