Don't care what the haters and people who feel they have to just pick one promotion to watch say. AEW needs to exist and this is great work by Okada and everyone who came up with it. I am entertained.
Didnt we criticize shinsuke for becoming a comedy gimmick at one point and told okada will be treated more seriously in aew ? The purpose of this group was to do a hostile takeover of aew (especially after the beatdown they gave tony Khan). I feel its been booked wrong
Shinsuke was never a comedy character. Dude was always portrayed as an absolute killer. When he debuted he was basically their equivalent of Brock Lesnar, complete with legit MMA background. The comedy stuff doesn't suit him, and it's jarring. Okada's always had some comedic timing about him, and a bit of goofiness. I think he's being under-used too, but there's plenty of time to portray him as the final boss of wrestling again.
