Exactly. Adam Waldman's statements that it was a 'hoax' were not found defamatory. I think it was just the details of the hoax in that specific scene were not found by the jury. Seems silly to me but- it's still a Depp win. They believed him, not her.
Punitive damages are capped at 350k and the judge mentioned that so he has won total 10M compensation and 350k punitive. Amber won one claim and is to receive 2M. So really she pays 8.35M

Even his drug abuse, I mean that's bad but it's really a mental health issue and he was being embezzled, his mom was dying, and he was being abused. Yeah, that'll be bad for an addict to manage well. WHat I've learned from this trial is how IMPOSSIBLE it is for male victims to be believed or empathized with.

That’s a good point. I have never once heard before this they JD was late to movie sets and had serious addictions. It didn’t seem to start until this woman. Abuse was never an issue in his life until this woman. Obviously none of us were there but with hours and hours of recordings and piecing together the rest in court, we might as well have been there. It’s pretty blatant She was the abuser. He did partake in reactive abuse.

Amber Heard insulted everyone with her lies. That is the bottom line. When the man who owned the trailer park testified - and Amber said she had never met him before...she did herself in. There were other points as well, but the lying was so extreme - that she overplayed her hand. I am just so happy that the jury saw through her bullshit and nailed her with the damages. Johnny's lawyer did defame her with his statement, in a sense - and I knew that he was going to get nailed for that, but it paled in comparison to Amber's words and actions. Amber is abusive in all of her relationships, and I believe Elon Musk will be her target down the road.
She already was. They were in court over embryos they made together. He wanted them destroyed. Here is a quote under oath from Jennifer Howell, “Paige(Ambers mom) told me that Amber said Elon was controlling, abusive, and that she was in a legal battle with him over the rights to embryos that they had created together”.
Clearly Amber calls men abusive anytime they stand up to her. She hates men and it’s obvious.
