About time! on the limiter thing, Stationary they wont go into vtec and the lower cam profile has a lower rev limit set. Also it wont go into the higher cam profile if its below temp. The more you know ;)

I mean it's basically a Civic, the name CRX stands for Civic Renaissance Model X if you didn't know, and it's arguably one of the lightest and best handling of the Civic lineup so you got a good score. Always wanted one. Even rust buckets near me are worth 12k USD+

As a person who grew up with a old Honda Civic and grew up modifying it and i had so much fun with it. Also I remember cruising with a lot of other Hondas not all civic some crx, s2k, Integra, Delsol, preludes, and rarely NSX, I love to see this

Me too but he should definitely look into lockers cause the doors are easy to break into, dumb fools know how the break the doors to get them easy in ax and are the easiest cars to break into if not the most easiest cars I jack fast and steal take this from a guy who know how these stuations happen

Smart to get into selling nuts and bolts, the margin on those is HUGE. When I managed a hardware store our nuts and bolts started at 80% markup all the way to 4-500% and they were still cheaper than what smaller stores could offer.
We all know this build is about to get nutty and I am here for it. I'm not super knowledgeable on Hondas but I have always had a special place in my heart for them.

Above the header there is 4 circles those are date, where in Japan and when it was made. On the right side of that is either a P72, P73, or a PR3-1,2,3 or 4. P72 is a GSR P73 is Type-R later 97-01 PR3 is Type-R 94-96

Hondas won't rev high at a stop if they have vtec, you can't engage vtec without load so when you're stopped you're hitting what's called the soft limiter, you can lower the soft limiter and use it as a launch control like limiter. 👍 all vtec engines do this, non vtec engines you can rev to the moon all day, can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but figured I'd share lol. Glad you're enjoying it!
i have 3 gsr's and they all rev out sitting still and all on stock ecu's. if its not hitting rev limit then someone chipped it and set the rpm low for launch control

The nostalgia feels. My first car was an ef hatch, d15, 4 speed manual. It had 290k miles on it when I sold it for $500 to a buddy who needed a car. One of my biggest car regrets I have because when I let it go it was all original and immaculate besides a small crack in the driver's seat outer thigh bolstering. The kid I sold it to wrapped it around a light pole a week after he got it.

I really like the K20A, but the B16B and B18C are just more fun. They can’t handle the power of a K, but you don’t need it in a 1700lb CRX. Have fun with the B18 my man, I sure did 20 years ago.
im a car guy yeah like us all. ive owned fast cars like 6.0 ltr v8s and driven and been passenger in some fast race cars. currently own a jzx and its quick BUT the car you have there was and still is the most terrifying car ive ever been in. and that was 20 years ago. it was a full race version, taken off the track, given a rego and livery delete and then several different rattle can spray jobs as the cops were looking for this thing. but the g's and the way this thing pulled through the hills in nz was insane and getting airborne on the straights was pretty common. looking forward to this one.
oh my god it actually has an Si-R front end :0 and i love that he was actually stoked about the b pillars because they are unironically rare and expensive lol
as someone who actually owns a 90 crx i not only approve of this video i love it. my crx had a b20b non vtec depending what model it is the hf model is the lightest at about 1800 the dx and si models weigh about 2000-2200 lbs. im 90% sure all the bushings are more thin likely shot. all in all though theyre fucking fun as shit to own and drive. look into getting a traction bar it will help with the wheel hop a lot also look into getting a hondata s300 v3 or a standalone ecu as those are much easier to tune then a chipped ecu becauee with a chipped ecu you have to take the chip out to burn a new tune on it
@@lucaskelly4590 yeah I caught mine on sale Black Friday last year. The place was even doing a special that if you bought the hondata from them and shipped them an ecu they’d install it replace the capacitors do the vtec conversion and add boost by gear.
Back in the early 90’s I bought a 2nd gen CRX with only a little over 60;000 miles on it from it’s original owner for 500 bucks. Besides some minor damage to the front passenger side fender and it missing some interior pieces,it was in great condition and never gave me any problems outside of your normal things that need to be replaced like belts and bushings.A week after I bought I found a new fender and all the missing interior pieces that were the same color as my interior from the local junkyard for 120 bucks.After I got the new fender repainted I drove it for about 10 years and put 200 thousand miles on it before I sold it. I sold it to a younger kid down the street that always asked about it for the same price I originally paid for it. After he bought it he ended up doing all the Honda boy mods to it like putting a fart can exhaust on it and putting rims on it that were way to big with those thin little rubber band tires.He drove it for another 40 thousand or so miles until he threw a rod through the block. It was kinda sad seeing all the bs he did to it but it was his car and I definitely got my 500 bucks worth out of it and then some when I owned it so I couldn’t be to mad. Now that I’m older I would love to get another one for a project for my son and me but unfortunately the prices for them are completely insane and not worth what people are asking for them. Ohh well maybe one day I’ll come across a deal for one.

There’s no soft limiters on any Honda 01’ and below. The soft limiters are on K series cars.

@@lucaskelly4590 yeah I caught mine on sale Black Friday last year. The place was even doing a special that if you bought the hondata from them and shipped them an ecu they’d install it replace the capacitors do the vtec conversion and add boost by gear.

Back in the early 90’s I bought a 2nd gen CRX with only a little over 60;000 miles on it from it’s original owner for 500 bucks. Besides some minor damage to the front passenger side fender and it missing some interior pieces,it was in great condition and never gave me any problems outside of your normal things that need to be replaced like belts and bushings.A week after I bought I found a new fender and all the missing interior pieces that were the same color as my interior from the local junkyard for 120 bucks.After I got the new fender repainted I drove it for about 10 years and put 200 thousand miles on it before I sold it. I sold it to a younger kid down the street that always asked about it for the same price I originally paid for it. After he bought it he ended up doing all the Honda boy mods to it like putting a fart can exhaust on it and putting rims on it that were way to big with those thin little rubber band tires.He drove it for another 40 thousand or so miles until he threw a rod through the block. It was kinda sad seeing all the bs he did to it but it was his car and I definitely got my 500 bucks worth out of it and then some when I owned it so I couldn’t be to mad. Now that I’m older I would love to get another one for a project for my son and me but unfortunately the prices for them are completely insane and not worth what people are asking for them. Ohh well maybe one day I’ll come across a deal for one.
