@@SergioBonilla1 I don't know about the sadist part but Hori isn't a masochist bur rather has developed a degradation kink towards Miyamura, these things are similar but not quite the same. As for why it is the case, they briefly explained it in the show as it just being a "gap-moe", but from what I can see and believe, it is simply just Hori not liking the fact that there is a side of Miyamura that she doesn't get to experience, this is later explored in the missing pieces too.
Two fingers like that means: "Bye See you later" in sign language someone mentioned it also represent bunny ears in shadow idk which one was used in that scenario
I believe, cause my friend from Japan does this, the "hand sign" is like peace out or see you again. They did the same thing in a silence voice for the "Talk later" things.
The show is hilarious when it's funny, but when it gets serious... Miyamura freezing up when a bully triggered his trauma and Hori coming to his defense was devastating. That hit WAY too close to home. This is also probably the best episode to think about some of the visuals in the OP. Miyamura being inside a cube and washed in a blend of the blues representing his despair and the pinks representing love are visually powerful once you find out how he ended up the way he did. It's heartbreaking on a rewatch when Tohru says "you're a little weird but that's totally okay" and he starts crying and says "it will be okay". It was the first time he felt hope
Horimiya is such a masterpiece of an anime, especially with how realistic it is. Tbh this reaction really helped me notice that in a deeper way, because when I first watched it I was a pretty small kiddo. (For reference, I had no idea they actually had sex in that one scene even though it was fairly obvious)
It's really rare to find a show where the main couple feel so natural with each other, but Miyamura really needs to sit down and have a discussion with Hori about saving their kinks for private time before someone accuses him of being an abusive boyfriend.
7:54 Izumi's resignation to do whatever makes Kyouko happy makes me heart flutter every damn time. I mean, I don't wanna hit girls, either, dude. Some of them just..... *chills*
this shows really talkin about chemistry, or human relationship, thats kind a heart warming story bcs we also so related to it.. even we dont experience that but may some freinds feel that situation
And another ones who got lost with "the closet scene". Tanihara (the grey hair bully) was in a closet and Miyamura was telling him that if he stays there he'll end up alone, lonely, will get more frustrated and will take it out on other people. That's why he's mentioning the fruit tart at the end and how they're also ok. Like "Man. I accept you even you swing the other way." I remember when I was watching it the first time I was thinking "Maaaaaaan! That's a great portrayal of how Miyamura is accepting and understanding!" and I'm surprised how many people not getting it or not mentioning it during their reactions.
18:51 Damn. Ya'll had me choking up a bit with all this shite. School wasn't ever a rough time for me, but my "youth" ensed up getting scary and uncertain. I am the master of looking back and thinking, "Oh. That wasn't such a big damn deal. Though... I see why it felt that way. Also, I totally should have asked her out." 😜
6:44 Ya know, it is adorable how little you two know about S & M. Hori's a masochist(during the funniest scenes of this episode), btw. I always remember that "Sadists" make me "Sad" because they do the hurting, and "Masochists" get me "Mad" because they get hurt. Not real feelings....anymore. My past girlfriends taught me that, just because they want me to do a thing to them, doesn't mean I'm a bad guy for doing it. 😊
I really am glad for my friends and my best friend who "adopted" me, I almost think we adopted us each other we both got more extroverted when we were together. But I never got bullied like that, in Middle and Highschool, which is the same school in Europe class 5 to 13, we mostly bullied our teachers...
When you guys are finished with the show you have to watch letter to you:kimi ni todoke it made me cry a little bit but it was funny at the same time love the content btw❤
Imagine a relationship where u can hit and yell and cuss at your girlfriend and she will love it and be turned on 😂 relationship goals right there This show is GOATED, it is HILARIOUS when it needs to be funny and it is super serious when it needs to be serious
I think this is the part where a lot of guys and girls misunderstand each other. From a girls’ perspective, they get attracted to the guy when they start chatting, having a friendly relationship, sharing things in common, etc and it progresses from there. So when they see other girls have the same friendly relationship, they can’t help but get a thought in their heads that the girls their partners become friendly with might get attracted to their partners the same way. It’s an irrational fear, but remember girls bond over similarities from childhood all through adolescence. So they logically will relate their own experiences to other girls, even those around their partners. I can’t speak from a guy’s perspective on the matter, but for guys who are more visually attracted, it might be hard to understand this side of girls who get attracted from forming a bond or rapport with a guy. Of course, this isn’t all girls. It’s just a typical and understandable thought process. 😅
I was so glad I was able to laugh a bit watching Hori and Miyamura bicker over her kinks. The part where Miyamura encountered his bullies really cut and salted me. I was a bullied kid too, and besides that I suffered not from lack of valuation but from lack of vindication. I wanted to hit back but I couldn't. I've long forgiven my bullies but I never showed up during class reunions because there was literally nothing to go back to but bad memories.
Please Continue to watch to the season2. Suggestion 1. TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You (Underrated) 2. The Dangers In My Heart 3. The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten
Are you guys going to react to “Horimiya: missing pieces”? I’d really recommend it, it gives you so much more depth and content to the characters and relationships by covering the manga content that this season had to skip to finish the story in 13 episodes. I really enjoyed your reactions thank you!!!
Hori fighting on behalf of Miyamura almost outweighs her character flaws. I know some people will get defensive about that comment, but even her friends and family know she’s got issues. She acknowledges it herself.
this is like the 7th time I've seen the scene with the 'two of each' but this time it made me think; when they had the two hands up was that in some way supposed to be like bunnies? I'm reading too much into this huh?
The fact that yall were taking sides when hori got jealous and hit miyamura the irl relationship relatess… cuz im the same, i blame my bf for everything (mostly irrelevant things) sometimes sorry 😭 (not rlly)

Exactly, in dactil language it's actually mean that
The peace sign also shapes like a bunny. The thing that connects the two back then.

Hi
This show really lost me at this episode (and last episode, really). Hori's demands were just way too uncomfortable, and make Miyamura look so toxic despite how he actually wants to behave, especially when he has already been so ostracized...
8:37 The reason he said that was because Miyamura used Hori's family name. So he was joking that Hori's mother was pregnant again.
No, Kyosuke is not making the same joke as before, when he teased Miyamura about calling her Kyouko, since he’s a Hori too. He’s specifically making a joke about the two of them having sex.
