I have a 1971 Ventua II that was my great grandma's. It has 13k original miles. My dad put a 400 small block in it right before he passed away. & the car was handed down to me in 2001. I've had it just sitting in my garage waiting for the perfect time to start rebuilding as you did.
I have both bumpers, original seats, 2 sets of 4 piece grills, headlights and bezels, 2 sets of taillights & refinished black leather door panels still wrapped in plastic & all the original emblems which were refinished in 2001.
Oh and that brochure you showed pics of, I have it too in near mint condition.

Mikes Whiteknuckle RT Hi Mike thanks for the comments I am thrilled to read your story here. Not sure of your location how is the car for rust rear frame rails on mine had to be replaced but mine was a Canadian ordered car and probably saw many winters.
Keep in touch I would love to see how your restoration is going.

@@DPMaintenance surprisingly the frame is still Black Painted with minimal rust spots. The car has been garage kept its entire life. Originally bought in Louisville, Kentucky by my father's grandma "old lady driven" & garage kept & bought by my father who was a gear head & put a 400 in it but never had the chance to finish it (71‐01), trailered to Floyd Knobs, Indiana & kept on a lift in the back of a garage (01-14), trailered to my current residence & garage kept since. (14-current).

@@Franzell91 That is awesome Mike keep me posted worth restoring these Ventura's are getting rarer there is only a small few left who will even know what a Ventura is and that is ok in my books makes it worth saving even more and the sentimental value that is was your great great grandma's makes it that much more special to restore! I am looking at getting the original GM build sheet records for my car from there historical society.

The Pontiac Ventura is basically Pontiac's version of the Chevy Nova. All it needs is a real Pontiac V8 in it.

Ventura's are underrated, they were just as great as the Nova's in my opinion

Omg this was an amazing video. Where did you get your interior done? Did it come as a pullover kit? Please let me know.

I used the PUI interior seat covers from summit racing excellent product without breaking the bank. I replaced all the seat cushions first and did new hog ties I did it all myself if you have any questions please let me know would love to know what your working on...www.summitracing.com/int/parts/pui-69xs10b/overview/make/chevrolet/model/nova

Company called ACC Automotive Custom Carpets can make you a carpet to fit
Sometimes kids are more affordable if the kit is a very popular car like if you wanted to buy kit for a 69 Camaro then it's not going to be too bad expensive because they're making them because people want them but if you have something really strange and rare then they'll have to custom make your kit I'm at Auto upholsterer myself if you have any questions with anything to do with upholstery repair fabrication or interior restoration, text me 501 732-5261

Howie P also since Pontiac engines are very similar to each other you can get away with using some parts from more popular models with little to no fabrication

Howie I am sorry this took so long this car is the same as a chevy Nova - Everything is the same except front fenders , hood and tail panel. My fenders are new Nova fenders but I have a great body man he chopped off the nova front end and took my original front points and welded them on making brandnew Ventura front fenders - also Nova tail panel you just cut the tail lights wider. Nova parts and kits for the most part will work on this car - Summit racing will become your best friend. Wiring in this car is brandnew AMERICAN WIRE Nova kit converts your fuse panel to modern. I have a front bumper but it needs chrome back bumper same as Nova you can order reproduction anywhere front bumper hard to find. any more questions email me : davidpemberton@cogeco.ca

Do you know anywhere that would have a parts car for one of these things. My front end was pushed in and everything but the frame was messed up.

I wish you luck in your search depending on your location they can be found you can use new reproduction nova fenders (readily available) if you can find a set of ventura front fenders with decent front head light tips. If you have a good body man he can take the front tips off a pair of ventura fenders and weld them on to the new Nova aftermarket fenders with some measuring and calculations and a little aluminum fill work can make you brand new Ventura front fenders. This is what my body shop did for my restore as solid front Ventura fenders are just not out there.

Nice car too bad it has a Chevy engine in it instead of a Pontiac engine they should of used Pontiac engines since it' wears a Pontiac badge but they put 307 and 350 chevy in them instead a friend of mine has a 1972 that had a 350 in it and he ended up putting a 400 Pontiac in it and it's a ripper with loads of torque
