Some of The 2009 ripta gillig 0912-0935's might be replaced soon with 15 electric buses at some point at 2024 or 2023. In 2023-2025, they might remove some ripta buses that were made from 2010/2011, because they need to have zero emissions for a "cleaner ride". In 2013, ripta's BRT HEV 35' Inch trolley, BRT HEV Normal 40' & 35' inch got an update of the color at the front top route sign, led light was changed from purple to green in order to make updates.
Add to your head sign history: ripta.com/destinationsign/ I'm in process of updating all the head signs to use mixed case and more consistently show the destination to address major confusion in telling the difference between route variants. Most of these signs in this video are still the original ALL CAPS format.
I literally wished RIPTA Could get brand new 39, or 43 Gillig BRT Hybrids for 2023, having the brand new livery or possibly having the obsolete and vintage 2010 Gillig BRT Hybrid Livery. If RIPTA Did get some 2023 Gillig BRT Hybrids, this would entirely replace the 2010 Gillig BRT Hybrids That were getting very dirty, And having fossil fuels into it, 2009 Gillig low floor buses and 2010 Gillig Hybrid BRT Buses are bound to be retired within Late 2023, or Mid Late 2023. And these buses Were aging too much. I always have thought to myself that ripta would get Brand new Gillig Hybrid BRTs. Currently, Ripta Has no Plans to get 2023 Gillig Low Floor buses at the moment, if they did, there would only be 18 Buses of it. (23xx-23xx for 2023 Gillig BRT hybrids)
