- Indie Tribe has received criticism from people claiming their songs are boastful, prideful, and even on the edge of being Christian. Is this judgement wise or foolish?
Here we look into all the lyrics and see if these commenters are making real points or if they are missing the point of the song. Spoiler alert, they are.

This is sad! I don’t know these rappers on a personal level so how can we judge. Let God take care of that. I love indie tribe as someone that struggles with self confidence these songs make me puff out my chest and remind me that I’m royalty in Gods eyes. I need this music. Do your thing brothers and for those that don’t like it don’t listen to them really simple. Indie tribe save lives!!

Honestly, valid opinion. I agree with what was said. I can’t believe people actually missed the message of this song. You should do more videos like this one. I liked when you explained the lyrics. This is nothing new for CHH. They hear a HipHop type beat and connect it to secularism. CHH Artist always face so much judgement and backlash. There are definitely cases I resonate with what is being addressed. But then again, most of the time the message in songs fly over their heads. A perfect example for this case is Lecrae.
Yea people need to look into the lyrics and more importantly read the Bible which will allow them to understand where most of this is coming from. People are way too tough on Lecrae and others.

Y’all are worried too much about every little lyric. These guys are true HipHop fans and if you don’t like HipHop like that you’ll miss a lot of the context and rap elements. These are HUMANS who follow Christ! We all fall short! Literally listen to the song or don’t but stop saying everything sounds secular you’re not even letting chh artist be creative cause you stifle them with these high high expectations. A lot of these judgements seem to be based off of opinion. Calling a song 'lukewarm' because it's not fire sounds clever, but in the end that's just your opinion. Making your subjective opinion the objective bar to judge music is not only ridiculous, but selfish in my opinion (this itself is subjective).

Obviously gon’ be whack makes total sense as a line. If you are making music isn’t it fair to say that your like your own music the best?
To put it like that is interesting. There are definitely better ways to say it like for example saying I genuinely think I make better music than so and so. If the line is just about the indie tribe artists themselves than the wording is something people have the right to question. Personally, I think the line is deeper than that. But being humble is something we're called to do and we need God's grace and Spirit to guide us in our walk.
@@nvr_sprtd I think you are totally right about being able to question the wording of christian discourse. With that being said, I personally don't mind the line. Some of my best friends are the ones I can roast and give a hard time. One of the best examples of this is trash talking while playing basketball. But I could see how others may take it the wrong way.
