It's easy to install. Just grab the COOP trainer and improved Vergil combat mods off nexus and follow the instructions in John Fleer's mod installation video.
Vergil modded version somehow cannot recover from deflected animations and thus he was made invulnerable until his animation finished. The same also apply when he was revived on the spot he freezes for good few second
