I love game developers that drive away from games that are *trending* we need more creative games like this for PS5 and all consoles, especially with the prices of these games increasing (Love them for the $30 price tag). Nowadays most games are $70+ for the same concept we've been playing for years. We need a more variety of games, and I feel "Stray" will be the start. As well as others like Horizon Zero Dawn, The last Of Us, The Odyssey , with their great storylines and gameplay. Something other than a First-Person shooter game.
Creative you basically occasionally press a few button responses and move on lol . It's only just up from a quick time game only you also walk around so it's a walking sim press a button a times game instead. Hardly rocket science.
@@DEVILTAZ35 what do you expect a regular cat do? Throwing cat paw combos? LOL This is a different game genre we're talking about, that has became a scarcity in the recent years. What's so bad about having some chillingness?
My parents cat ran away from the house and was missing for two weeks. He then came back around 3am with cuts and bruises and very skinny. I’d like to think that this is what he went through during those two weeks 😂
What’s with the sarcasm? Devs didn’t create this with GOTY in mind. It was merely a fun project inspired by their cat which so far is universally praised.
Never in my 30 years of lifetime would I have thought I would be watching a 20-min gameplay of a cat roaming around a post apocalyptic dystopia but hey.. Also, makes me feel kind of sad. Felt very uncomfortable at 7 mins when the cat fell.
Nobody seems to ever talk about this... The very first minute of the game begins with the Little Outsider outright breaking the fourth wall (2:43) and looking back over his shoulder and directly at the player, full eye contact, for about two seconds, with a hopeful, optimistic look on his face. He's inviting you to come along on his adventure, to explore the world. He looks young and excited for possibilities. The last thing before the game ends is Cat, once again, making direct eye contact with the player, but this time, he looks tired. Worn. But this time he blinks, long and slow, which is a sign of intense affection and trust in housecats. He's telling you 'Thank you for keeping me safe, my friend, but our story together ends here. Farewell.' This is why I don't want Stray 2. It would cheapen this experience. Cat isn't our pet, we don't own him. He's our friend for an adventure, but we had to part ways. To 'reunite' and go on a second adventure would ruin what we experienced together.
This game is ingenuous. I haven’t played a game that keeps you freshly entertained and curious while you play. Great work on this video and ending it the way you did. Trust that the rest is even better and rewarding!
i finished this game some days ago and it's really cool, i love the details level and the few presence of bugs and also the fact that the cat attitude (a part the fact that u save the world) is realistic like scratching your toes on every thing you see or also scratch the doors so the people open it. it is a really good game and it gave me very nice emotions 11/10 rating
Lots of comments from people saying how this game gives them a feeling of sadness. I can understand that being that this is a post-apocalyptic story set after humanity apparently perished but for some reason this feeling translates as oddly comforting to me. Maybe it's that the world would be so much quieter and less chaotic without all our noise? I can't be alone in this.
@@AZAZEL_TK Haha, I don't want us to perish! It's just the idea of a peaceful, less chaotic world is appealing to me. Like in I Am Legend...except without monsters. And plenty of food and comfortable housing, lol. And running water. All the amenities.
I have to say the following: I said that I hoped that this game has enough success in order to see a sequel or, even better, this game is the begin of the franchise. After, I watched this gameplay, I just hope that BlueTwelve studio and Annapurna Interactive want to do it, but I have faith. Finally, let´s hope a happy ending. I have faith too.

There are hardware limitations too. If you have noted, the gameplay is captured on a ps4. While surely most of the shadows are baked, there is also a lot of dynamic lighting. Let's not forget, because of your size compared to the world is small, while for a human character the little stone doesn't matter, it is much more considerable for a cat. This means a lot of geometry for wich this anti aliasing must be calculated. Probably on pc there is a higher aliasing option, but not on ps5
Looks like they have some object collision issues. And it's eyes look like a stuffed animal. And cats don't meow to each other. And seems like they would have checked with someone on correct English.
