The e-ziggurat gaping shrill-net (thee valley) which peaked in Sept 2019 was really the first cerveza wave in the world. E-ziggurat users are 7 times more likely to contract cerveza than non-e-ziggurat users.

Herd Immunity is a technique used in agricultural livestock production.
If a virus appears in your herd or flock, the concept is to vaccinate the entire herd within an adequate window of time.
This causes the virus to have no new hosts, and renders the virus "extinct" so to speak, in that population.
What we needed to do, when we had the vaccine that was veRy effective against the, then, Covid virus...was to mutually cooperate together to get a high percentage of the population to get vaccinated in the same window of time.
And to continue with proper protocols to reduce transmission of the virus.
If course, too many people balked and too much misinformation and misinterpretation occured due to political agendas and propaganda.
We did not achieve Herd Immunity in time, before the virus began to "drift" into more contagious variants. To which, to your point, we were then in a "leaky" situation.
There were many things I saw that were veRy inadequate.
People 'thought' they were doing helpful things ....or were faking it to "comply" but not really complying.
For example:
Restaurants complied with not "indoor dining". But when the weather was hot, I saw them putting up misters and fans to blow across the outdoor dining area. I can't think of a worse thing to do with a virus that travels via moisture droplets of exhaled air.
They were literally helping to spread potential virus amongst the dinners.
Likewise, when the weather was cold, they put up enclosed event tents for their "outdoor" dining... effectively creating an indoor shared air space, out in the parking lot, and this space, without HVAC air filtration. 🤦♀️
And of course, people not staying home when feeling a little sick... assuming it wasn't Covid, when it could have been asymptomatic Covid (that could be harmless to some, but deadly to others).
People not wearing masks, or not using them properly.
That concept wasn't about preventing yourself from getting Covid, nor from shedding potential virus particles.
Mutually Cooperative masking was about reducing the amount of viable viral load in shared air spaces.
Reduced enough as to significantly lower risk of infection to everyone in the shared air space, and to significantly reduce the transmission rate, and case load on hospitalizations, and deaths.
We "might have" ...but we didn't ... extinguish the virus.
Now we will have to live with it.
