It is not bad to do good but the problem is some people or generations have done horrible things and they are being punished for it or the children are being punished by God but if you decide to help such people you might suffer for it. So it is always best to seek God's guardiance before helping anyone. It means such people need to find solutions by being prayerful and following the instructions of God to find solutions. Their help is not in people's hands. So anyone attempting to save them from the punishment of their sin or generational sin without spiritual knowledge would be implicated. It is always Good to seek spiritual guidance before helping someone. The lesson here is don't help people blindly some are suffering from the work of their hands and their solution might be something else. If a person decides to help he might even lose his life if care is not taken
