I had an elderly neighbor woman when I was 10 or 11 in the mid 60's Ms. Matthews and I would dig the roots and she would make tea for me. And it does taste like root beer.

Sassafras tea is our favorite year round tea. I started drinking it with my grandma and she used for the blood cleansing. Sassafras root is also where MDMA was first synthesized. The Sassfraoil is said to have banned because before LSD the kids were just drinking sassfroil from the pharmacy to have a trip back in the 60’s

We used sassafras in the Springtime as a tonic. It is especially effective in breaking a fever from the flu.

Very happy to find your channel. My family lives on some wooded property in the Canton GA area. How can we support you for more great content?

Thank you! Check out the website and consider coming up for a plant walk at some point. I also plan on releasing more steady content in the future here and possibly extra member only content (there is plenty of information I'd like to share "less publicly".
