Please is it possible to tell us the precise location in the present day of the Old Oyo town (that is which town occupies that location in the present day). Thanks and your response will be highly appreciated.
The location of the old Oyo empire is within today's N Oyo State and part S of kwara state...No town occupies the space but surrounded by some towns like Saki, Iseyin, igboho..etc Ths the site was turned to national park (game reserve) around 1950s..
"The park is 2,512 km2 of land in northern Oyo state, south west Nigeria, at latitude 8° 15’ and 9° 00’N and longitude 3° 35’ and 4° 42’ E."
