If you are staying at a resort-style hotel, all the food and drinks is inclusive of the price you paid for your stay so you don't have to worry about bringing your wallet everywhere.. That's the best thing about Turkey.

Turkey is lovely -> see pool in hotel not even see. I don't want to downplay your emotions. But Turkey is an amazing country, and not just a hotel tourist area. I am glad that I have the opportunity to see the whole country, all nature in my motorhome.

I wish you would have ventured away from the hotel to see what turkey is really like. They just had a major earthquake that took many lives & families are living in tents still months later. There are so many stray anyways that would just love a meal. Itd be wonderful on your vacations to do something to help the community somehow, such as donations to food banks. Just a thought....

That meat in pastry looked like Burek to me. I've had it in numerous balkan countries. It's lovely, and really filling. If you have a decent sized portion of it you won't need to eat again until the evening. Locals tend to drink yoghurt with it as it apparently helps them digest it.

love it in Turkey we have been quite a few times now, our favourite hotel is the TUI Sensatori in Fethiye a fantastic hotel
Fethiye in general is a nice area, especially if you have heritage there!
