Long time resident. These are my home waters. My feeling is that NFF is becoming more and more an ad agency for area fishing lodges. There are surely some good lodges in this episode but they are expensive and beyond the reach of most fisherman. Also the regional waters are a lot more crowded than this episode suggests. I didn't find much good information here but the production is top notch.
Still have South Fork of the Snake on my bucket list! Do they still allow (encourage?) fisherman to harvest Rainbows to benefit the Cutts on the South Fork?
That was an Orvis net actually made by FishPond. Then Orvis came out with their own series of nets which aren't as functional. It is essentially the Nomad Emerger net, hope this helps: fishpondusa.com/en-ca/products/nomad-emerger-net-fly-fishing?variant=41466456834208

Great way to start the weekend. Thanks as always.

Yes.
Unfortunately yes. F&G is killing the entire fishery in order to protect a non native Cutt species.
Would love to know more about the small alpine lake he fished. Where is it?
What kind of net are you using in the beginning of the video? The camo looking one that is.
