First time as a pimo entering bethel myself and makes me want to mark myself as a reminder of pain and suffering I've to go through just listening to boring stories that are nothing but useless and pretend to have a "happy face" in photos when in the inside, I feel very bad deeply depressed and want to hide myself away in my bedroom for the next 5 weeks or probably month crying on the inside and physically suffer myself constantly to forget about the experience

Thanks for your courage telling the experience. When I was still as jw, I remember one missionary telling some of us his experience in the branch he stayed (in one of Africa’s branch). He said stealings were pretty common in bethel but was hush hush, for some reason. We listening to it was stunned but pushed it aside😮
That's the problem right there... The Society, the missionaries have a very negative, stereotypical idea of Africans ....they think all Africans are dishonest and untrustworthy... including fellow Jws. That is why all branch offices in Africa are run by foreigners...Americans and Europeans
Yes, they call it a stipend. Not like a full pay but good enough to keep you going. As a refugee at the time, it was good enough. But my life comes first
