Cos it aint for kids. Despite being a Tokusatsu, Kamen Rider is aimed for teens-young adults. You have Sentai for kids, and some of that show also have dark moments too.
This scene right here is what made me fall in love with Kamen Rider Faiz, and Takumi as a whole. He’s the type of hero who doesn’t care if he dies or not. Just trying so hard to protect those around him.

I love Takumi and Kiba, but the series literally wastes their potential by essentially doing nothing for 40+ episodes before scrambling for an unceremonious endgame. It has such interesting concepts, but doesn't really do anything to advance them. So many things get built up (Takumi being an Orphenoch, him possibly dying from belt use, the Orphenoch rebels being friends with the MCs, Kusaka being evil af, the entire Orphenoch King plot, etc.) but are either fumbled, fade into irrelevance, or are just waved away by plot convenience. Hell, half this show could've been resolved if the characters just fucking talked to each other. There are just far better Rider shows.

That story where Kaixa attack both Kiba and Faiz to pit them against each other is the worst I've ever seen. Also everything in the show happen "in coincidence", take out the "they magically meet each other at the worst time possible so as to cause misunderstanding", nothing will even happens. The plot convenience is too f#cking strong

It's a mess in a good way, very impactful and relatable themes and character writing, the constant changing and shifting of the plot and its (lesser) priorities is highly reminiscent of the pace of day to day life and its developments, people coming together, drifting apart, pressing on in the face of adversity, et cetera. A season like Kabuto on the other hand is a mess in a bad way, no cohesive themes or compelling character arcs that bring any consistency to its chaotic storytelling and everything cool about it is worn thin in the first 10 episodes.

This season was quite the mess but Takumi as a character made it bearable.
It's a mess in a good way, very impactful and relatable themes and character writing, the constant changing and shifting of the plot and its (lesser) priorities is highly reminiscent of the pace of day to day life and its developments, people coming together, drifting apart, pressing on in the face of adversity, et cetera. A season like Kabuto on the other hand is a mess in a bad way, no cohesive themes or compelling character arcs that bring any consistency to its chaotic storytelling and everything cool about it is worn thin in the first 10 episodes.
